The conference room at Dunder Mifflin has seen some incredibly awkward, hilarious, and inappropriate moments in The Office. Whether it was Michael Scott or Andy Bernard leading the meeting, there have been numerous times where things got stranger and stranger.

There is a standard for appropriate workplace behavior, and the Scranton branch always seemed to cross the line. To Michael, Dunder Mifflin Scranton wasn't just an office full of employees — they were his family. This meant that no topic was off-limits and he encouraged everyone to be honest and open during those meetings — even though they didn't always want to be. And because of Michael's desire for honesty, some meetings got weird.

"The Convict"

Prison Mike on the office

"The Convict" has one of the most awkward and uncomfortable meetings in The Office history.

After the Stamford branch merged with the Scranton branch, the office found out that a former convict, Martin Nash, was working among them. To face everyone's questions and to ease their fears, Martin explained the situation and assured everyone he was on a better path.

But when people found out how pleasant Martin's jail experience was, they started thinking that prison sounded nicer than Dunder Mifflin. This enraged Michael. To prove how good they had it, Michael had a meeting where he "transformed" into Prison Mike to scare them straight.

"Search Committee"

In "Search Committee," Dunder Mifflin is looking for a new regional manager for the Scranton branch after Deangelo and Dwight proved themselves unfit for the job. In the meantime, Jo chose Creed as the interim regional manager because he had been with the company the longest.

Creed never knew what he was doing at work, and his meetings proved it. In one scene, Creed had a team-building meeting but there was one problem: he never told the office about the meeting. The only two people in the conference room were Meredith and Kevin. And to make matters even stranger, he started calling the names of people who didn't even work at Dunder Mifflin.

"Gay Witch Hunt"

Michael kisses Oscar in The Office

"Gay Witch Hunt" was one of the worst days of Oscar's life. In this episode, Michael found out that Oscar was gay and outed him to the entire office without his consent. If that wasn't traumatic enough for Oscar, Michael held a meeting over it! There was absolutely no need for Michael to talk about Oscar's sexuality publicly nor was it okay for him to have an entire meeting about the subject. But that's Michael Scott for you.

"Koi Pond"

the office - do not mock list

In "Koi Pond," Michael fell into a koi pond while out on a sales call with Jim. The office had a ton of questions for Michael when he showed up to the office soaking wet. It was finally revealed that Michael fell into the pond and that Jim didn't do anything to help him.

As usual, the office poked fun at Michael's fall and he couldn't take the heat. To save himself from more embarrassment, he held a meeting to talk about things the office could not mock. His koi pond disaster was at the top of the list. He also asked his employees what they wanted to add to the list. From Erin being an orphan to Dwight's nose being too small, it became an odd list.

"The Injury"

the injury meeting - the office - michaels foot

In "The Injury," Michael burned his foot on a George Foreman Grill. He expected the office to cater to his every move and take care of him but that wasn't the case. Michael acted as if he had a serious disability and that his life was forever changed.

To make his employees think about their actions, he held a meeting where he compared his burned foot to "disabled icons" like Forest Gump. Michael also invited a special guest to talk to the office: Billy Merchant, the property manager of the office park. But when Billy wasn't giving in to Michael's shtick either, he left the meeting in a tizzy.

"Diversity Day"

Diversity Day The Office

When the office has a guest speaker from corporate come to Scranton to talk about the importance of diversity, Michael is anything but impressed. He's annoyed by how serious the meeting is and doesn't take it seriously.

He decides to have his own meeting on diversity, which negated everything the office just learned. Michael used stereotypes and racial slurs as a means to learn about different cultures and races. It was incredibly uncomfortable for everyone — not to mention senseless since they already had a proper meeting earlier.

"Angry Andy"

Nellie and Andy in the conference room in front of a whiteboard in The Office.

In "Angry Andy," Andy is incensed when he comes back from Florida to find Nellie in his office with his job title. He tried to get to the bottom of it but Robert California seemed taken by Nellie and refused to step in. But when Nellie heard a rumor that Andy was impotent, she felt bad. She wanted to take his job, not his "manhood." To make Andy feel better, she held a meeting on impotence. However, the uncalled-for meeting made Andy even angrier.

"Women's Appreciation"

Enthusiastic Michael hosts Women's Appreciation Day meeting. Everyone looks bored.

In "Women's Appreciation," Phyllis is disturbed when she's flashed in the parking lot. As always, Michael and Dwight take things too far. Dwight creates new rules for the women in the office so that they're safer. However, it completely strips them of their freedoms.

Michael holds a meeting to talk about women's appreciation, but a man is not qualified to discuss these issues. If anyone had to lead a meeting on the equality of women, it should have been Jan. With Michael in charge, he ended up insulting the women and belittling the situation.

"Sex Ed"

sex ed meeting - andy - the office

When Michael noticed a bump on his lip, he thought it was a zit. But when his disguise fell off, Meredith diagnosed him with a cold sore. The comparison between cold sores and herpes began to swirl around the office, which led to Michael thinking he had herpes.

To smooth over the situation, Andy held a meeting on sex education. And while he meant well, a meeting about sex education shouldn't have been held at a paper supplier's office.

"PDA"

Michael sits on Holly's lap in office meeting. Everyone else looks uncomfortable.

In "PDA," Michael and Holly were finally dating and couldn't get enough of each other. However, their mutual attraction was so strong that it was making everyone in the workplace feel uncomfortable. They were sharing chairs, holding hands, whispering, and making out all over the office.

Gabe had to hold a meeting about romance in the workplace where the issue of their PDA came up. Michael and Holly needed to keep their hands off of each other and it's odd that a public meeting had to be held just to get to the bottom of it.
