Michael Gary Scott is best known as the Regional Manager of Dunder Mifflin Scranton, but the man is so much more than that. Deep down, Michael has a passion for the arts. He loves comedy and goes to improv classes, and he also dabbles with screenwriting and film. Throughout his seven seasons on The Office, Michael has created multiple movie projects.

No one has ever asked Michael to create these hilarious shorts — he just makes them out of love for the craft. What's even more impressive is that Michael is so confident in his writing and editing abilities that he's shown his videos to anyone who's willing to watch.

WUPHF

wuphf pitch - the office

For as crumby as Ryan treats Michael, Michael would do anything for him. He thought Ryan was so cool and handsome and would do anything to be friends with him outside of the office. So of course, Ryan took advantage of Michael when he created a business called WUPHF. WUPHF was an app that alerted you in one place when you received an email, instant message, text message, fax, etc...

In one episode, Michael and Ryan film a video of themselves pitching WUPHF but they didn't make the compelling case they were hoping to.

Scranton Witch Project

Scraton Witch Project - the office

In the episode "The Merger," the new Stamford employees are watching Michael's Straight Out of Scranton video when Jim does a talking head about his own first day at Dunder Mifflin. Instead of Straight Out of Scranton, Michael screened his take on The Blair Witch Project, calling it The Scranton Witch Project.

Fans don't get to see the whole video but they do see a clip of a sweaty Michael in a dark room saying, "I am so scared when people don't label their personal food." One can only imagine how that orientation ended.

Holly's Single!

When Holly comes back to the Scranton branch, Michael assumes they're going to pick up where they left off. The one problem? She was still with A.J.. Holly told the girls that if A.J. didn't propose by Christmas, she was breaking up with him.

Michael prepared for the outcome in two ways: he created happy and sad boxes filled with things that made him happy or sad, and he filmed a congratulations video for himself. After finding out that Holly was not engaged, Michael ran into his office and played the video he made of himself telling him to remain calm and celebrate. As Michael said, only he knows how to calm himself down.

A Video To His Children

In the third season, Michael has an epiphany after getting shocked by an electric socket. He said if he died, he wants his son to "know the dealio." He then does random things around the office so that his son would know how to do them one himself day.

He shows him how to (incorrectly) jumpstart a car and how to undo a woman's bra (on Dwight). Dwight was filming the whole thing and added his own anecdotes throughout, which proved that Michael had no idea what he was doing.

Survivor Man

In the episode "Survivor Man," Michael is annoyed when he wasn't invited on a Dunder Mifflin guys-only camping trip. To prove to everyone that he can hack it on his own in the woods, he makes Dwight drop him off in the Pennsylvania wilderness without survival supplies.

Dwight stays nearby to make sure Michael doesn't harm himself — which was a smart idea. Throughout Michael's time alone in the woods, he filmed himself (as if he was on Naked and Afraid or Survivor) talking about what he was going to do for warmth and food. He eventually realized he didn't have what it took to last the whole day, but it was fun for viewers to see his video.

Faces Of Scranton

Faces of Scranton has to be one of the most endearing and awkward videos eve made by Michael Scott. In the episode "Valentine's Day," Michael was asked to visit corporate to meet David Wallace, the new CFO, to go over their financial projections.

While the other regional managers brought the necessary paperwork, Michael decided to make a video so that David Wallace could see how Scranton got work done... complete with U2's "With Or Without You" playing in the background, Michael filmed everyone working and introduced them to David. As weird as this was — again, David did not ask for this — it was sweet how much Michael loved his employees.

His Local Ad Commercial

In the episode "Local Ad," David Wallace is setting Scranton up with an advertising company to film a new commercial for Dunder Mifflin. Michael assumed he'd have full creative control, which wasn't the case. So, he opted for creating his own commercial instead.

With the help of his colleagues and Pam's artistic eye, Michael created a heartwarming commercial for a local paper company. The premise is "limitless paper in a paperless world." Each person tosses a paper airplane and the person who receives it shows how they use paper. David Wallace didn't use Michael's commercial, but it was still made with love.

Get Him To The Dundies

Get Him To The Dundies was a video Michael made with Deangelo for his last ever Dundies. It was an introduction video to the night that was similar to what some hosts do for the Oscars.

The video showed Deangelo looking around the office for Michael so he could get him to the Dundies. Michael dressed as various employees while Deangelo asked them where Michael was. It was surprisingly beautiful and unsurprisingly hilarious. Michael's impressions were on-point and it was a great introduction to a long night.

Straight Out Of Scranton

When the Stamford branch merged with Scranton, Michael did what he knew best: created a welcome film. With Dwight's help, Michael created a music video based on the song "Straight Out of Compton" called "Straight Out of Scranton."

Dwight and Michael went all around Scranton to film the video and created lyrics that told the history of the town and what to expect at Dunder Mifflin. The new employees were confused by the entire thing but it was comedy gold.

Threat Level Midnight

Threat Level Midnight The Office

Threat Level Midnight has to be the best Michael Scott project. He worked on the project for 10 years and has every employee of Dunder Mifflin Scranton in the film as a unique character. He even has appearances by former employees, Karen and Jan!

Threat Level Midnight was a labor of love and something Michael was proud of, even though the storyline didn't make much sense. Nevertheless, it's a project that took years to create and he had the confidence to actually finish it before leaving the company.
