A deleted scene from The Office reveals Creed lived in the Dunder Mifflin office long before the finale. The Office was one of NBC's most successful comedies. The workplace sitcom followed well-meaning, but incompetent boss Michael Scott as he mismanaged his humdrum yet quirky employees. Even though the show was almost canceled after season 1, it went on to run for nine seasons and is still one of the most-watched sitcoms. While The Office had a lovable cast of characters, none of them were quite as unusual as Creed Bratton.

During the final episode of The Office, Dwight revealed Creed had been hiding out in the closet that was at one point Ryan's cubicle. The reason he was living in the office was that the police were after him for dealing drugs, trafficking endangered animal meats, and stealing LSD during his time as a band member of The Grass Roots. Creed faked his own death and was living out of the closet until one of the employees found him after Michael's farewell warehouse party. Creed serenaded his coworkers before being escorted from the office by the police.

This week, the official Peacock Twitter account posted a deleted scene from The Office confirming Creed was living at Dunder Mifflin for longer than viewers were initially aware. Coming from season 3, episode 3 titled "The Coup," the clip shows Michael and Dwight debating how to cut costs. After Michael insists he does not want to fire anyone, Dwight suggests charging Creed rent for living in the Dunder Mifflin office. Michael is shocked by Dwight's accusation, but Creed reveals in a confessional interview that he lives in the office four nights a week. On the three nights he's not sleeping under his desk, he lives in Toronto to collect welfare.

This is an amusing addition to Creed's story. It is extremely fitting he managed to live at the office for half of the week for who knows how long with no one realizing other than Dwight. It also checks out that Creed lived in two countries, successfully pulling off a welfare scheme. However, the biggest disappointment that comes with this video is learning the scene could have been in the episode and part of the show's canon from season 3 on. As many die-hard fans know, many scenes giving backstory on Creed's wacky life had to be deleted for time. While he was already a fan favorite, as more of these deleted scenes from The Office come out, viewers grow even more enamored with him.

The Office's move from Netflix to Peacock has been tough for fans. While it was much more convenient when The Office was on Netflix, its move to Peacock brings a bonus episode and deleted scenes that were only ever made available on The Office's DVD boxsets. Peacock knows The Office is a big sell for fans. The streaming platform has even broken up its different price levels by how much The Office content is made available. Even though many fans seemed to accept their days of binging The Office were over after it left Netflix, bonus content like this has been tempting viewers to invest in Peacock.
