The Office and GTA: Vice City get an unlikely crossover in fan art that shows off Dwight, Pam, and Kevin as you've never seen them before. One of the most popular sitcoms of all time, The Office ran from 2005 until 2013, making stars of many of its cast members, including Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, BJ Novak, and Jenna Fischer. Despite ending almost a decade ago now, the series remains immensely popular and is one of the world's most-streamed shows.
In fact, NBC claims The Office is being watched more on Peacock than Netflix now that it's moved over to the new streaming service. It's not hard to see why, though, as super fans tend to watch every episode of the series on a seemingly neverending loop, with some even keeping it on in the background as a kind of ambient soundtrack to their day. The popularity of The Office doesn't seem to be abating then, and the cast is even capitalizing on that with Fischer and Angela Kinsey hosting their own podcast, The Office Ladies, about the show and Brian Baumgartner, who played Kevin, doubling down with two podcasts about his time working on the series.
Now, three characters from The Office have gotten a unique makeover in fan art by Moneyline Tees. Dwight Schrute (Wilson), Pam Beesly (Fischer), and Kevin Malone (Baumgartner) have all got GTA: Vice City-style posters that turn them into sleazy 1980s caricatures that would fit right into the classic game. Kevin's poster features him playing poker, which was one of his hidden talents on the show. At the same time, Dwight is presented as an 80s real estate mogul, tying into his arc in later seasons, and Pam is a cigarette-smoking secretary complete with huge shoulder pads, referencing her first job on The Office. You can see the art below:
Sadly, the art doesn't include some major characters like Michael Scott and Jim Halpert, but the three characters seen here are deadly accurate. It's a surprising pop culture crossover, to be sure, but one that works somehow. You can imagine Kevin, Pam, and Dwight turning up in a cut scene for GTA: Vice City and fitting into that universe perfectly. Kevin's, in particular, would be fun to imagine, with the hapless but relatable accountant perfectly cast as an unassuming poker player.
The art is surprisingly good and a reminder of the enduring fascination with The Office. While rumors of a revival have swirled for years, nothing has ever been confirmed, and with the likes of Carell and Krasinski moving on to incredibly successful movie careers, it likely never will. But that won't stop fans hoping for one, of course.
