There is no doubt that The Office has one of the largest fanbases in the world, especially because of First Boss Michael Scott. When the baton was passed on to Andy Bernard, some fans were disappointed, but there was a large number that thought he was the best successor the Steve Carrell's character. Andy's character went through many evolutions from seasons 3 to 9, from his anger issues to his acapella-ing and even when he disappeared to the Bahamas.

Whether it was his warbling, his absurd loyalty to Cornell University, or his kindness to his coworkers (which changed a bit later), the 'Nard Dog was and continues to be hilarious, and his unique personality has spawned a huge number of memes that have kept his fans entertained long after the end of the series.

Andy's Signature Style

Andy hailed from a family with old money and went to an Ivy League school, as people of his stature often do. He was a typical rich kid and his preppy outfit choices made this abundantly clear.

Nobody but Andy could ever pull off the vibrant trouser and jacket look, right down to the bow ties and contrasting colored shirts.

The Bloody Marathon

Fans can't forget the painfully funny "Fun Run" episode where Michael organized a fund-raising rabies prevention marathon, which ended badly for many people.

One of the highlights was Andy's "sensitive nipples," which left trails of blood down his running gear, despite his taking precautions and padding them, which didn't help at all. Nipple chafing is a real problem for some runners, but this meme managed to make something truly awful, hilarious.

He Coined "Tuna"

Since Andy met Jim at the Dunder Mifflin Stamford branch, Andy became very familiar with him very fast, coining the nickname Big Tuna, which stuck all the way until the end of The Office.

This meme is a clever mashup of the classic "Corporate Needs You To Find The Difference" meme, with Pam with Andy's endearing nickname for the resident prankster.

Fans related hard with Andy when he spoke of his loneliness in "Moving On" after his breakup with Erin, but this meme became especially relevant during the pandemic when many people could relate to this meme all too well.

Andy's erratic behavior had made him quite unlikable by his coworkers at this point, so he confided in the interns just to have someone to talk to.

Andy's Bahamas Comeback

Andy's return in "Couples Discount" was shocking, to say the least. His impromptu vacation to the Bahamas, without informing David Wallace of his leave, wasn't received well by anyone in the office, especially Erin, but it's safe to say his new look was iconic.

The drastic difference between the two decades is completely accurate, and fans of the 'Nard Dog will never forget his hippy, wild-man look in season 9.

His Proposal To Angela

Another moment that made Andy so Andy, in "Goodbye Toby," his good-natured ignorance completely ruined the proposal moment that Jim had painstakingly planned for Pam when he used the beautiful setting of fireworks and music to propose to Angela instead.

Andy's mistake is comparable to the disaster of a year 2020 turned out to be, as opposed to all the plans everyone had for the start of a new decade.

When He Just Couldn't Remember The Jingle

Perhaps Andy's most memorable singing moment, in "Local Ad," he tried to remember the last word to the popular jingle, "Gimme a break. Gimme a break. Break me off a piece of that ..." for a whole day.

His many guesses included applesauce, football cream, Chrysler car, lumber tar, Claude Van Damme, hair for men, poison gas, Nutrasweet, Snickers bar ... and finally, Fancy Feast, a brand of cat food.

His Experience At Lake Scranton

While Michael turned "Beach Games" into a Hunger Games situation for the role of Regional Manager, poor Andy got the worst end of the stick. He did get named Assistant Regional Manager in the end, though.

While Pam, Jim, and Karen had an awkward time, and Dwight was named Regional Manager, Andy was sabotaged by Angela and ended up helplessly floating in Lake Scranton in a Sumo suit, asking passersby if they had seen the group he had come with, which was Dunder Mifflin.

His Bid To Join Pam, Toby, And Oscar

The Finer Things Club was Pam, Toby, and Oscar's exclusive members-only group, which Andy tried very hard to get into. With his wealthy background, he was used to seeking out exclusive things and becoming a part of them, but unfortunately, the three members weren't having it.

They didn't let Andy into the club, even though he would have been a good fit to discuss books and fine food, which never sat well with the Cornell alumnus.
