Ocean's 8 returns fans to the Ocean's Eleven franchise, but does this latest movie have an end-credits scene teasing another installment? Steven Soderbergh's 2001 movie was itself a remake of the 1960 heist film, but still became a hit all its own. George Clooney and Brad Pitt led an all-star cast in Ocean's Eleven, as well as its two sequels, Ocean's Twelve and Ocean's Thirteen. The series saw diminished returns over time and concluded with Thirteen. However, director Gary Ross' Ocean's 8 returns to the franchise for an all-female spinoff.
In Ocean's 8, Sandra Bullock plays Debbie Ocean, sister to Clooney's now deceased Danny Ocean, who gets out of prison and begins setting in motion the biggest heist of her criminal career. Bullock is joined by an all-star cast of her own, including Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter, Sarah Paulson, Mindy Kaling, Rihanna, and Awkwafina. Trailers for Ocean's 8 have previewed a fun, female-fronted comedy with another major heist at the center, but fans may be wondering if the movie also sets up future installments - perhaps with an end-credits scene.

Now, moviegoers heading to theaters to catch Ocean's 8 may want to know wether the film has an extra stinger at the very end. Unfortunately, Ocean's 8 doesn't have an end-credits scene. Instead the latest Ocean's movie wraps up completely before the credits roll.
Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean Warner Bros. is willing to let the franchise end with Ocean's 8. Although reviews for Ocean's 8 have been mixed prior to the film's release, if it proves to be a hit at the summer box office, the studio may bring this all-star cast back for another heist. Certainly, the cast has been one of the major driving factors for the hype around Ocean's 8, especially the two leads - though the supporting players have generated buzz on their own, particularly Rihanna. So, if Warner Bros. were to continue the Ocean's franchise, there's no doubt fans would want most - if not all - of the cast of Ocean's 8 to return.
With that said, any continuation of the series would depend on the box office of Ocean's 8. Ocean's Eleven was the top-grossing movie of its respective trilogy, with each following film earning less than its predecessor. So, even if Ocean's 8 is a hit at the box office, it doesn't necessarily guarantee a sequel will be as successful. Still, if Ross' film earns far more than Ocean's Eleven's $450 million worldwide take, the studio may be swayed to continue the story of Debbie Ocean.
At the end of the day, fans will have to wait and see what's next for the Ocean's franchise. For now, at least they know they don't need to wait for an end-credits scene after Ocean's 8.
