The Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer teases a surprising connection between Obi-Wan and the Inquisitor Reva. The Clone Wars were the ultimate Jedi trap, culminating in Order 66 and the slaughter of the Jedi. The survivors of Order 66 scattered across the galaxy, including Obi-Wan Kenobi himself. Palpatine wasted no time in establishing the Inquisitors, a group of former Jedi and Force-sensitives who reported directly to Darth Vader and who scoured the galaxy hunting for them.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ TV show introduced Moses Ingram as Reva, a member of the Inquisitors who seems to be focused relentlessly on hunting down Kenobi. Reva promises to be a force to be reckoned with, not only because she calls in Darth Vader. "They share a common dark-side goal," Ingram shared (via Entertainment Weekly). "They're on the same team. [Reva stands out from the two as her drive is] all heart." What's more, the second Obi-Wan Kenobi trailer suggests she may have a personal motivation to hunt the Jedi Master.

The Inquisitors appear to have been particularly focused on Obi-Wan Kenobi, with Reva spearheading the mission. In one shot, she shouts after a fleeing Obi-Wan that he can't run forever - and it's interesting to note the name she uses. Most Inquisitors can be expected to refer to Obi-Wan as "Kenobi," but she appears to think of him on first-name terms. Reva is known to be a former Jedi who was recruited into the Inquisitors, presumably brainwashed by Palpatine using the power of the dark side, and so she may well have a history with Obi-Wan that runs back to the Clone Wars. That would make her a very personal villain for the Disney+ TV show.

Star Wars Reva Inquisitor

This would also explain why Reva's name breaks a Star Wars rule, in that she is the only Inquisitor to have been consistently referred to by her name. Inquisitors are given a title; Reva's is Third Sister. It's similar to the way a Sith Apprentice is given a new name when they embrace the dark side, except in the case of the Inquisitors, the titles are as dehumanized as possible to encourage the dark side Force-users to abandon not just their past but their very individuality. Reva could well be known by this name simply because that is what Obi-Wan insists on calling her; he would refuse to address her as an Inquisitor even if he knew that name.

This could potentially set Reva up as a key figure in the struggle between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan; she would be stuck in the middle, torn between her past with Obi-Wan and her present with Darth Vader. It may even allow the Obi-Wan Kenobi Disney+ TV show to tie into the franchise's core theme of redemption if the Jedi Master decided Reva was not beyond the pull of the light side of the Force.
