Recently concluding its first (but hopefully not only, at least if star Ewan McGregor has anything to say about it) season, the Obi-Wan Kenobi show really delivered and gave fans so much to adore and to take in, not least of all, a slew of great references and pieces of connective tissue to various other parts of Star Wars. While the show is firmly rooted in, and essential to, the Star Wars canon, it had many Legends Easter eggs and references, even making many deep cuts canon.

Nearly all of the best Legends Easter eggs come in episodes 3 and 5 when various individuals from Legends are made canon, but there are a few more connections to the timeline that hardcore fans were excited by.

Jabiim

Roken, Tala, Obi-Wan make a plan to break into Fortress Inquisitorius in Obi-Wan Kenobi

Jabiim ended up being a huge part of Obi-Wan Kenobi, as it's the final destination of 'the Path' before people went on to live their new lives. The planet was already canon before the show, but not many will have known it as a canon place, rather one from Legends.

In Legends, the planet was the site of a great battle in which Obi-Wan played a role and ended up under the control of the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The planet is not an Easter egg in the show, but seeing Obi-Wan on the planet in live-action definitely connects it to Legends, where he marched on the planet with clone troopers during a battle.

Tiberius

In episode 5 of the series, on the walls of the facility on Jabiim through which those who take 'the Path' pass, there are many carvings that are written in Aurebesh that seem to bring some obscure Jedi, such as Tiberius Anderlock, into the mainstream Star Wars universe.

The Aurebesh on the wall only translates to Tiberius, but given that Anderlock was a Jedi who lived in the era of the Galactic Civil War in Legends - appearing in Star Wars: Galaxies - it seems logical to assume the Tiberius who passed through Jabiim was the canon equivalent of Anderlock. He may not be the character fans most want to come into the canon from Legends, but here he is - seemingly.

Ekria

The Baroli species has only recently been made canonical by The High Republic: Tempest Runner, but Obi-Wan Kenobi may have introduced another known Baroli by way of the Legends Jedi Padawan Ekria.

Ekria survived Order 66 alongside Drake Lo'gaan, with both of them getting tangled up with Xisor on Coruscant before managing to fake their deaths and escape the planet. Ekria appeared in the Evasive Action series and could, feasibly, be a relatively similar character in canon in terms of being a surviving Jedi who gets tangled up in the Coruscant underworld.

Cairnwick

It will be fascinating to see if any of the Force-sensitive individuals who use the Path through Jabiim, such as Cairnwick, will crop up in future projects, like Jedi Survivor, which was revealed to take place at the same time as the Obi-Wan Kenobi series.

In Legends, Drun Cairnwick was a Jedi Initiate at the time of the Republic and one of the lucky ones who managed to escape Order 66 and the Great Jedi Purge. Cairnwick's first name was not carved on the facility on Jabiim, but, again, it seems likely that Cairnwick mirrors Drun from the Legends timeline.

Drake Lo'gaan

Drake Lo'gaan with clones in Star Wars

Drake Lo'gaan is another individual whose name is carved on Jabiim and is another who, in Legends, was a Jedi during the time of the Republic and the Clone Wars.

Lo'gaan, an orphaned Padawan whose Jedi mentor Roron Corobb got killed by Grievous, survived Order 66 - with help from another character who got brought into the canon by Obi-Wan Kenobi - and ended up hiding on Coruscant for a while. He fought an Inquisitor, dealt with the Black Sun, and even took on Darth Vader himself. The Lo'gaan in the canon would clearly have to be different from this version, though.

Corwin Shelvay

Also introduced through the walls of the Jabiim facility, Corwin Shelvay is a bit different from the other Legends Jedi mentioned in that episode in that he did not survive Order 66 in Legends.

The reason for this is that he was not a part of the Jedi Order until the time of the Empire, recruited to be a Padawan by Darrin Arkanian before forming a rivalry with the High Inquisitor Tremayne and, eventually, joining the rebellion. This is another whose story simply cannot play out the same way in canon and may never actually be seen again, just on Jabiim as a fun Easter egg for fans.

Roganda Ismaren

Prior to episode 5 of the series, episode 3 introduced audiences to the Path and also introduced some Legends Jedi into the canon, one of which being Roganda Ismaren, someone who escaped Order 66 as a Youngling.

Ismaren's survival through the Galactic Civil War until 22 ABY was even more impressive than avoiding the Great Jedi Purge. Post-Order 66 Ismaren was captured and became a member of Imperial society, becoming the Emperor's Hand and birthing a son, Irek, whom she hoped would take over the Empire one day, but who instead killed her after she turned him into a bit of a monster.

Djinn Altis

The Clone Wars No Prisoners front cover artwork

Djinn Altis is another name carved on Mapuzo in episode three of Obi-Wan Kenobi, as well as on the Path's base on Jabiim. In Legends, Djinn was a Jedi but split away from the Jedi Order to head another group who also served the Republic, making him a pretty interesting figure.

The Altisan Jedi, led by Djinn as a Jedi Master, were a splinter faction of the Jedi Order who had unorthodox ideas which were frowned upon by the traditional Jedi Order. Most of this group survived Order 66, rendezvousing with one another on Bespin. None of this will ever be brought to the canon, but for Legends fans, this was still a great Easter egg referencing the Legends novel No Prisoners as well as others in which Altis' story is told.

Valin Halcyon

Valin Hal Horn in Star Wars

Valin Halcyon was probably the name carved into the Path that most excited Legends stans, bringing into the canon someone from a loved Legends family of characters, the Horns.

Born Valin Halcyon but eventually becoming 'Hal' Horn to remove his Jedi links in the wake of Order 66, the Corellian had an interesting life. He starred in many Legends stories and also father one of the best and most popular Legends characters ever in Corran Horn, something for which he is perhaps best known.

Corran

Corran and his mother Nyche in Obi-Wan Kenobi

Way back in episode 2 of the show, fans are introduced to Haja, who poses as a Jedi and helps people get off of Daiyu. Before meeting Obi-Wan, he helps a mother and a son, the latter of whom is called Corran.

Corran is teased to be Force-sensitive, and on IMDb, his mother's name is Nyche, just like Corran Horn's mother in Legends. In Legends, Corran Horn is a bit of a legend himself, a star in the famous Rogue Squadron series as well as a Jedi Master who fought alongside the likes of Luke Skywalker. Horn's character would have to be adapted in terms of the details, but this young boy in Obi-Wan Kenobi could well become an ace pilot who learns the ways of the Force and is revealed to be the canon version of the adored Corran Horn.
