Warning! Spoilers ahead for the first five episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

With just one episode left of Obi-Wan Kenobi, the stage is set for a thrilling finale. Reva has found out about Darth Vader’s estranged children, Obi-Wan and Leia are still on the run from the Empire, and young Luke Skywalker has been reintroduced for a major role. There have been all kinds of predictions about where this series would go, ranging from a Yoda cameo to live-action Clone Wars flashbacks.

Now that Lucasfilm has unfolded five parts of its six-part run, those predictions are getting a little narrower. From “Duel of the Fates” on the soundtrack to an appearance by Qui-Gon’s Force ghost, there are a few tantalizing possibilities for next week’s Obi-Wan Kenobi finale.

Obi-Wan Will Achieve Redemption

Ewan McGregor in Obi-Wan Kenobi

Throughout the series, Obi-Wan has been dealing with guilt over his role in Anakin’s downfall. Both Uncle Owen and Reva have blamed Obi-Wan for the rise of Darth Vader, and he clearly agrees with them.

By the time the original trilogy rolls around, Obi-Wan is in a much happier place with this guilt. Perhaps some feat of heroism in the finale will allow Obi-Wan to finally forgive himself.

Qui-Gon’s Force Ghost Will Finally Speak To Obi-Wan

At the beginning of the series, Obi-Wan was trying to contact his late mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn. In Revenge of the Sith, Yoda tells Obi-Wan that he’s been convening with Qui-Gon’s ghost and that he should try to do the same while in exile on Tatooine. In the first couple of episodes, Obi-Wan tried to reach out to his former master to no avail.

Based on this setup, fans are expecting to see Qui-Gon’s Force ghost – or at least hear Liam Neeson’s voice as his disembodied spirit – before the end of the series. In the finale, he could finally appear to dispense some timely wisdom to his surviving padawan.

“Duel Of The Fates” Will Play On The Soundtrack

“Duel of the Fates” is one of John Williams’ most recognizable Star Wars compositions. In The Phantom Menace, this piece underscored the lightsaber duel that determined Anakin’s dark path. Ever since it was featured in the trailer for Obi-Wan Kenobi, fans have been expecting to hear it in the series itself.

The track hasn’t yet appeared on the soundtrack of Obi-Wan Kenobi, but Deborah Chow might be saving it for the climactic showdown in next week’s finale episode.

Luke Will Be Put In Harm’s Way

Luke Skywalker plays on the Lars Homestead in Obi-Wan Kenobi.

The fifth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi ends with Reva learning that Vader has an estranged child on Tatooine. The final shot shows Luke sleeping soundly in his familiar bedroom on the Lars’ moisture farm.

In next week’s finale, Luke could find himself in a dangerous situation that Obi-Wan has to save him from. This would further explain Uncle Owen’s disdain for Kenobi and why he wants his adopted son to stay away from that “crazy old wizard.”

Obi-Wan Will Fight The Still-Alive Grand Inquisitor

Grand Inquisitor in Obi-Wan Kenobi

The Grand Inquisitor’s supposed death in the second episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi confused some fans, because he’s canonically still alive later in the timeline. The fifth installment revealed that he was merely injured when Reva stabbed him, and he’ll live to fight another day.

The survival of the Grand Inquisitor seemingly sets up a fight with Kenobi in the finale. This duel could be a warm-up fight for Obi-Wan before his boss battle with Vader.

More Prequel-Era Flashbacks

Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker in Obi Wan Kenobi

Hayden Christensen finally got the opportunity to play Anakin in more than a brief fantasy sequence in the fifth episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Without being hidden behind a mask, Christensen appears alongside Ewan McGregor in a few prequel-era training flashbacks.

Now that the precedent is set to dive in and out of the prequel era, the finale could continue to cut back and forth along the timeline. Fans are dying to see some live-action Clone Wars action.

Leia Will Show Signs Of Force Sensitivity

Young Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi

Leia’s Force sensitivity wasn’t officially confirmed in live-action Star Wars media until audiences got a brief glimpse of her Jedi training under Luke’s tutelage in one of The Rise of Skywalker’s few standout scenes.

Her Force abilities have been hinted at a few times throughout her role in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She managed to withstand Reva’s attempted Force-brainwashing. She even cracked a joke: “Is this a staring contest?” In the finale, she might actually use the Force for the first time.

The Emperor Will Appear

Luke and Vader's lightsabers clash over the Emperor in Return of the Jedi

Throughout the Imperial era, Vader answered to Emperor Palpatine. He didn’t make a major move without consulting his lightning-fingered Sith master. Vader was the face of the Empire and the one who did all the dirty work, but Palpatine was the head honcho.

Since Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place at the height of the Empire’s rule and Vader plays a huge role in the story, the Emperor has been expected to appear in the series. He hasn’t shown up yet, but Chow might be saving him for the finale.

Luke And Leia Will Meet

Leia and Obi-wan in Obi-Wan Kenobi

In the name of telling a stronger story, Obi-Wan Kenobi has created a couple of minor plot holes in the original trilogy. Leia’s recorded message to Obi-Wan implies that they’ve never met, but fans have just watched a 10-year-old Leia go on an unforgettable intergalactic adventure with the legendary Jedi.

Now that Luke has been brought back into the fold, it seems possible that Luke and Leia will meet in the finale. This is sure to be a controversial move, but they’re only 10. At a stretch, they could feasibly have forgotten all about such a meeting a decade later when they reunited on the Death Star.

Obi-Wan And Vader Will Have Another Rematch

When Kathleen Kennedy announced that Obi-Wan’s spin-off series would feature a rematch with Vader, Star Wars fans expected the long-awaited rematch to be saved for the finale. Chow surprised audiences with a brutal dust-up in just the third episode of Obi-Wan Kenobi.

After a decade out of action, Obi-Wan finds himself hopelessly outmatched by Vader at the height of his powers. It seems likely that Chow is building to another duel in the finale – and they’ll be more evenly matched this time. Obi-Wan has shaken off the rust, and he could team up with Reva now that he’s figured out her true motivation. Neither of them stood a chance against Vader alone, but they could combine their forces.
