The first official trailer for the limited dark comedy series, The Now, sees Dave Franco as the show's star with Bill Murray acting as his character's therapist. Franco is no stranger to television, from being part of the main cast in the final season of Scrubs to voicing Alexi Brosepheno on an episode of BoJack Horseman, but fans haven't seen the star in a role quite like this.

The Roku Channel has released a trailer for the latest Farrelly Brothers project, The Now, which sees Franco as leading man Ed Poole following the suicide of his brother that Poole was informed of while attempting to take his own life. The trailer reveals that Poole decides to take some advice from his therapist (Murray) and attempts to start living his life in the now rather than in the past. As Poole attempts to tie up some of his brother's loose ends though, he finds that his newfound positive mindset is going to be difficult to maintain, and he may even lose a finger or two along the way. Check out the hilariously dark trailer below.

The 14 episode series premiered exclusively on Roku on December 10th and features a star-packed cast. Besides Franco, The Now also sees O'Shea Jackson Jr, Jimmy Tatro, and Daryl Hannah as series regulars with Murray, Pete Davidson, Alyssa Milano, and Rob Yang cast in recurring roles. The dark comedy was written and directed by the famed Oscar-winning brothers Peter and Bobby Farrelly, with Steve Golin and Jeff Okin taking on the executive producer position. The ultimate team-up of Franco, Murray, and the Farrelly Brothers is already setting itself up to be a series that fans won't want to miss. All 14 episodes of The Now are currently available for streaming on the Roku Channel.
