After Adam turns into a monster in Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight 2, he ensures his first kill is the owner of a local shop who Adam witnessed kicking a dog. After the deed is done, he and Zosia get intimate and plan to spring the mutant twins from the precinct. This is where they come up against the last surviving officer Wanessa - who tried to sacrifice Adam earlier so she could escape - who tries to kill them with an assault rifle. All the main human characters - even the few survivors from the original - are dead, while the main characters Romero and Juliet-inspired monster romance is cut short in the bluntest way imaginable. Adam is hauled away by special forces as the fire rages from the explosion, and as he's taken away for testing, all hope appears lost. That said, despite Zosia being squashed by multiple trucks and the twins being blasted, they may not actually be dead.
The original Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight establishes the twins are basically immortal, and they survived many injuries that would kill a normal human. The black ooze from the meteor grants superhuman strength, speed and regeneration, so it wouldn't be a huge surprise if Zosia and the Twins managed to pull themselves together for a third entry. Either way, it appears this will be the starting point for a potential Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight 3, where Adam himself will likely be the main villain. By the credits scene, the loss of Zosia and the experiments being performed on him appear to have purged him of his remaining humanity. Nobody Sleeps In The Woods Tonight 2 also revealed the meteor itself came from the moon and the black goo inside is the "essence of evil," so the origin of this somewhat Venom-like sentient substance will likely be explored further. Zosia also explained to Adam she wanted to launch an "apocalypse" against the human race and wipe them all out, so if the infection were to spread beyond the isolated woods of the first two movies, the consequences would be dire.
