Noah Schnapp plays Will Byers on Netflix's Stranger Things, but what other movies and TV series has the talented young actor appeared in? Stranger Things seemingly came out of nowhere in 2016, with the series following a group of boys investigating the mysterious disappearance of their friend Will. Pretty soon they run into a government conspiracy, a young girl with powerful psychic powers, and a faceless monster from another dimension.
In addition to featuring a great cast of established actors like Winona Ryder and David Harbour (Hellboy), Stranger Things assembled a great group of younger stars too. The series also evoked Stephen King novels, movies like E.T. and Back To The Future and featured a cool retro soundtrack. Stranger Things season 2 introduced new characters and threats, with the Upside Down threatening to spill over from the alternate dimension. Thankfully, the main characters were able to prevent that - though there's no telling where Stranger Things season 3 will take the story next.
Noah Schnapp didn't have much to do in Stranger Things season 1, which makes sense since his disappearance is what kicks off the show. He makes up for lost screentime in season 2, where Will is possessed by a creature from the Upside Down. Schnapp made a real impression with his work in the second season, with Will really being put through an emotional rollercoaster.
Noah Schnapp is still at the beginning of his career, so while he doesn't have an extensive list of credits, he still has an impressive CV. His very first credit was for Steven Spielberg's true-life story Bridge Of Spies, where he played Roger Donovan, son of Tom Hanks' James Donovan. Following this, Schnapp voiced Charlie Brown in The Peanuts Movie from director Steve Martino; he reprised the role for the movie's spinoff video game The Peanuts Movie: Snoopy's Grand Adventure.
While his name doesn't appear in the credits, he also voiced a role in The Angry Birds Movie. Other movie roles include the 2018 drama We Only Know So Much and providing another voiceover for animated adventure The Legend Of Hallowaiian, which also featured Mark Hamill (Star Wars: The Last Jedi). In 2019 he played the title role in Abe, a family drama about a young boy trying to unite his half Israeli and half Palestinian family through cooking.
Aside from the third season of Stranger Things, Noah Schnapp will next appear in drama Waiting For Anya, as a shepherd helping Jewish children cross from France to Spain during World War II. The movie is based on the 1990 novel by War Horse author Michael Morpurgo.
