Screen Rant is thrilled to exclusively present a first look at the trailer for the upcoming film No Way Out, which is set to be released August 12 by Vertical Entertainment. Directed by Azi Rahman in a feature film directorial debut, the action thriller follows a passionate love affair in Los Angeles that quickly goes awry amidst the drugs and violence surrounding it.

Maia Mitchell (beloved for her leading role in The Fosters) stars as Tessa, a free spirit from the world of high fashion, and Joey Bicicchi (set to star in Tin Soldier with Robert DeNiro and Jamie Foxx) as Nick, a talented photographer who falls for her and quickly becomes immersed in her life. Said life is more dangerous than it first appears, and their romance is fueled by sex, drugs, and the seduction of unbridled adoration. When Tessa asks the impossible of Nick, the two lovebirds embark on a path of revenge and destruction from which there seems to be No Way Out.

In Screen Rant's exclusive first look at the No Way Out trailer below, audiences are treated first to the meet-cute between Tessa and Nick, which could easily be mistaken for a sweet romcom. But once they have plenty of adventure, comedy and epic kisses together, the tables quickly turn. Strange men lurking around signify a foreboding change of pace, as Tessa begs Nick to kill the terrifying strangers. Catch the trailer below:

A harsh change in tone and music accompanies Nick's desperate attempts to follow through with his promise to protect Tessa, all which losing his own grip on reality. What follows is a bloody, exhilarating roller coaster ride that threatens to destroy everyone in its path.

The cast of No Way Out also includes Guy Burnet (Oppenheimer), Ashley Nicole Williams (Motherland: Fort Salem), Katelyn Pippy (9-1-1: Lone Star) and Ronnie Gene Blevins (Emancipation). No Way Out is written and produced by Keith Kjarval of Unified Pictures, with Ben Ruffman serving as executive producer and Peter Mosiman as cinematographer.

Other recent releases from Vertical Entertainment include this year's comedy adventure Unplugging, starring Eva Longoria and Matt Walsh; the action thriller A Day To Die, starring Bruce Willis; the comedy Tankhouseand the recent Wynona Ryder-led thriller Gone in the Night.
