The new No Time to Die international trailer is here, revealing the twisted web of heroes and villains James Bond must navigate in the 007 film. The fifth and final entry in Daniel Craig’s James Bond arc, the new film features an ensemble supporting cast including Rami Malek, Léa Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Christoph Waltz, Rory Kinnear, Lashana Lynch, Ana de Armas, and Ralph Fiennes. No Time to Die is scheduled to release in the U.S. on October 8, 2021.
Prior trailer footage for No Time to Die has teased the films twisted and shadowy plot, which revolves around the primary villain and former SPECTRE assassin Lyutsifer Safin (Malek). After the revelations of Spectre, No Time to Die looks like it will be reckoning with several plot threads from throughout Craig’s whole tenure as 007. Old enemies become allies, some allies may become enemies, and nothing is as it seems.
In the new No Time to Die trailer, that shifting nature of Bond’s friends and foes is front and center, with CIA operative Felix Leiter (Wright) commenting on it at the very beginning. There are more hints of the mysterious past of Bond love interest, Dr Madeleine Swann (Seydoux), who appears to be tied to Safin by some unknown past affiliation. There’s also plenty of action and intrigue, as 007 fans would expect. Check out the new No Time to Die trailer below.

Bond will have his work cut out for him navigating the shadowy world of No Time to Die. The new trailer throws a particular spotlight on his latest, tenuous alliance with Blofeld (Waltz), who was the main villain of 2015’s Spectre. Blofeld and Safin’s mutual ties to the SPECTRE organisation – which Swann is also connected to – will likely form much of the film’s narrative framework. But could Blofeld, the ultimate Bond villain, actually be pulling all the strings from prison?
Bond also has a line in the trailer about having lived long enough to see his enemies become his allies when talking to Blofeld. That line seems to be pointing to the film’s title, teasing the possibility that Craig’s Bond won’t walk away from his final outing. With the world around him shifting and his allies becoming indistinguishable from his enemies, it will take a lot for Bond to make it to the finish line alive. No Time to Die releases in theaters in the U.S. on October 8, 2021.
