No Time To Die may introduce fans to James Bond's daughter. The upcoming film from the long-running spy franchise is special for a couple of reasons: it's the 25th installment in the film series and is also the final outing for Daniel Craig as its titular character. Directed by Cary Fukunaga, the movie is slated to release this November after it was delayed from its initial debut in April due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

Specific plot details for No Time To Die are being tightly kept under wraps, but trailers and other official information reveal that the movie picks up five years after the capture of Blofeld (Christoph Waltz) in Spectre. By this time, the titular agent is already retired, living a quiet life, however, when his old friend Felix Leiter (Jeffrey Wright) approaches him for a new mission - to find missing scientist Valdo Obruchev (David Dencik), he suits back up.

Now, a fresh report from The Daily Mail offers fans a better insight at what life's like for the former 007 when No Time To Die picks up. In a new article, the outlet shares that the movie will feature the character's five-year-old daughter named Mathilde. He supposedly shares the kid with Madeleine Swann (Léa Seydoux). According to an unnamed insider who talked to the outlet, the "Bond finding out he is a father is integral to the plot" with the movie opening with a flashback of the young girl being chased by the movie's primary villain, Safin (Rami Malek).

Yes, it’s true. Bond is a dad. Daniel wanted to make this Bond film the most surprising and entertaining yet. Daniel is older and his Bond is maturing and looking at life through the prism of fatherhood. But there’s a lot more to it than that. It’s the one thing fans would never expect. Bond has always managed to charm his way into the hearts and beds of hundreds of beautiful women, seemingly without any consequences. Making him a father opens up a whole new world in terms of drama and story development.

Daniel Craig as James Bond 007 and Lea Seydoux as Madeleine Swann in No Time To Die

The idea of Bond being a father first emerged several days ago when call sheets for No Time To Die made their way to eBay. One of the pages on the website describes a sequence in Southern Italy with Madeleine and Mathilde being piloted by 00 agent Nomi (Lashana Lynch) to safety. This is backed up by a previously leaked set image of Seydoux and an unknown young girl wearing striped white and blue overalls - although it's worth noting that it's unconfirmed if the kid is indeed Mathilde.

When Spectre ended, Bond was seen driving off the sunset with Madeleine giving fans the idea that the pair may have spent the last five years living a quiet life, hence Mathilde. H0wever, the No Time To Die trailers hint at a falling out between the pair as Bond accuses his lover of betraying him. Whether or not this is the case is still unknown, but if this new information about Mathilde turns out to be true, then it's safe to assume that they spent some of their time together in peace. In any case, the rumored introduction of Bond's daughter in the movie might ultimately play out with how Craig's run as the iconic spy will end.
