New footage from No Time To Die has debuted at CinemaCon. Daniel Craig's fifth and final outing as the iconic 007 has been years in the making. Originally slated to be released in April 2020, the film was one of the first to be delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic. MGM hoped to release the James Bond film later that year before delaying it to Spring 2021. Now, the film will finally release on October 8 and it sounds like No Time To Die won't be facing any further delays.

Directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, he will be the first American director helm a James Bond film. Meanwhile, Craig will be joined by a few familiar faces, including Léa Seydoux as Madeleine Swan, Bond's love interest from Spectre. Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, and Ralph Fiennes will return as Q, Moneypenny, and M, respectively, while Chrisoph Waltz's villain Blofeld is back, too. New to the franchise is Lashana Lynch, who will take on the role of Nomi, a new 00 agent with her own agenda. Additionally, Ana de Armas will star as Paloma, a CIA agent who assists Bond at one point in the film.

While plenty of trailers have released for No Time To Die, much of them have recycled the same footage in the hopes of keeping most of the surprises for the film. New footage recently debuted at CinemaCon, though, and it shows off an entire action sequence in the upcoming film, bits of which have already been seen in the trailers. The scene begins with Bond hurt and on the ground before he is seen chasing after a teenage boy. Upon jumping off of a bridge, a sequence seen in the trailers, Bond is in pursuit of a motorcyclist who reveals to the spy that his wife, Madeleine, is "the daughter of Spectre." The rest of the scene plays out in equally exhilarating fashion, with Bond finding Madeleine and the pair being pursued in his tricked out car, all while he processes Madeleine's apparent betrayal. Check out the full description below:

[Sound is muffled at the start of the scene]. Bond is on the ground, hurt. He wakes up and pulls his phone out of his jacket pocket. He starts running down the street and towards the bridge [from the trailer], chasing after a teenage boy. A car comes from behind up and tries to run him over, but Bond dodges it by taking cover behind a small rock before jumping off the bridge when a motorcycle arrives. [We see this scene in the trailer]. When he lands below the bridge, he starts running through the city. He tackles the motorcyclist and fights him one-on-one, killing him. But before he dies, the motorcyclist reveals Madeleine is the "daughter of Spectre." Bond takes his bike and drives it through the city, culminating in his bike jump from the trailer. He leaves the bike and goes up to a hotel room, it seems. The bell attendant says something about Bond's wife. Bond sees Madeleine and says, "You're right. Letting go is hard." She responds, "James, what happened?" Bond says, angrily, "How did they know I was here? Spectre - how did they know?" A phone rings, but Bond doesn't answer. He and Madeleine leave, getting in their Aston Martin. "I have something I need to tell you," she says. Bond responds, "I bet there is." Bond drives throughout the city again, trying to escape. Madeline gets a phone call. [Continued Below]

Daniel Craig as James Bond in No Time To Die

"Pick it up," says Bond. Bond then answers the phone. The voice on the other end says, "Your father would be so proud of you. Your sacrifice [untinelligible]..." Shocked, Madeline tries to reassure Bond, "James, why would I betray you?" He says, "We all have our secrets. We just didn't get to yours yet." Bond releases mini spike-bombs from the back of the DB5 and takes out a car. "James, listen to me. I would rather die then..." - they get hit by a car and the camera focuses on ringing church bells. They're surrounded in an open square [from the trailer]. While they're getting shot, Bond doesn't do anything. He just sits there. Madeline yells, "James, do something! Say something, James!" The enemy is using a big gun to try to get in the car, while Bond still does nothing. It seems he's processing Madeline's possible betrayal. He finally says "OK" and does a donut with the DB5 and shoots all of the enemies. They escape. End clip.

This scene likely takes place early on in the film, setting the stage for the conclusion of Bond's story with Madeleine Swan and the mysterious organization known as Spectre. Of course, Craig's Bond is no stranger to be being betrayed by the women he loves and this sequence calls back to Vesper Lynd's own betrayal at the end of Casino Royale. This will likely be a running theme in the film, as Madeleine is seen at MI6 in other trailers, much to Bond's consternation.

With just over a month until No Time To Die is finally released, audiences will finally get the opportunity to see the above scene and the film as a whole after years of waiting. Whether or not it will set the stage for future entries in the long-running franchise remains unclear, but Lynch's character Nomi certainly seems to hint at the possibility of her taking over as the next 007. No Time To Die's producers will keep details about Craig's successor as 007 under wraps for the time being, but with Bond's grand return to the big screen, it's only a matter of time before the franchise looks to the future once again.
