No Time To Die's Ana de Armas lands an amazing hit in a behind-the-scenes stunt video. The Cuban-Spanish actress best known for her roles in Blade Runner 2049 and Knives Out plays Paloma in the James Bond film, which is the final to feature Daniel Craig as the iconic spy. After suffering from a long string of pandemic-related release delays, No Time To Die finally made its way into American theaters on October 8.

Craig's fifth outing as Bond sees the MI6 agent enjoying his retirement when the disappearance of a key scientist encourages the CIA to come calling with a new mission. Upon realizing Spectre's involvement, Bond accepts, and his new assignment takes him to Santiago, Cuba - where he meets de Armas' Paloma. An eager but inexperienced CIA operative, Paloma excitedly teams up with the ex-007 to infiltrate a party filled to the brim with baddies, and she ends up kicking some serious butt by the end of the night.

As a video from JamesBond007 proves, de Armas was just as proficiently violent off camera. Filming herself, she greets the No Time To Die fanbase from stunt training, where numerous people appear to be running through fight choreography behind her. When a man approaches her from behind, ostensibly to ask for an autograph, de Armas gives him a quick stage-shot to the nose with her elbow and tells the camera she doesn't like to be bothered.

Daniel Craig and Ana de Armas in No Time To Die

This funny BTS moment from the No Time To Die set pairs well with the film's joke about Paloma's character, who excitedly tells the experienced Bond that she spent three weeks training for this mission. Despite her much shorter espionage résumé, however, de Armas' character impresses with her combat skills and quick-thinking, giving Bond the necessary advantage to secure his target before MI6's new 007, Lashana Lynch's Nomi. She even manages to grab a cigar for her colleague Felix Leiter amidst the chaos, contributing to her being one of the film's most memorable supporting characters.

While blockbusters as big as the Bond movies have the reputation of being machinic, it's always encouraging to see the stars having fun with the process, and for de Armas that certainly translated to her on-screen performance. Though she only appears in a small section of No Time To Dieher character has been one of its most acclaimed elements, with fans eager to see more from Paloma in future installments. Whether that happens or not, her star is clearly ascending, and it shouldn't be long before de Armas gets offered an action film of her own.
