The recently-released No Man's Sky update Outlaws lets players engage in illegal intergalactic activities like smuggling, bounty hunting, forging passports and more. Hello Games' outer space survival game had an infamously disastrous launch, but over time the developer has improved the experience and delivered an awe-inspiring experience. The No Man's Sky: Sentinel update overhauled the game's ground combat back in February, and the Outlaws update now introduces improved air combat, pirate sectors and more.

No Man's Sky has always put emphasis on exploration over fighting, but the Sentinel update greatly enhanced the title's sci-fi scuffles. The update introduced new Sentinel enemy types like Hardframe Mechs and Medics, which dramatically change the way players approach combat. Weapon upgrades and alterations also gives the No Man's Sky arsenal a unique flare by adding effects like stun and incineration. The Sentinel update also added new story missions which see the player team up with the Space Anomaly crew and assault Sentinel Pillars. Hello Games also assures fans that more No Man's Sky content is coming, so the cosmic experience will only get bigger and better in the future.

A trailer for the No Man's Sky: Outlaws update, posted to YouTube by HelloGamesTube, shows an abundance of new content added in the expansion. Cosmic criminals can enjoy new features like bounty hunting, planetary pirate raids, rebel space stations, smuggling, evading cargo scans, forging passports and an Outlaw storyline. New capes, hoods and cloth physics also help complete any gamer's morally ambiguous attire. Spaceship combat is also a focus of the Outlaws update, with additions including Solar Ships, improved space combat, planetary frigates and the ability to recruit and upgrade a squadron of backup pilots. A full breakdown of the Outlaws update can be found on the No Man's Sky website, and the trailer can be watched below:

Alongside updates like Sentinel and Outlaws, a No Man's Sky release on Nintendo Switch is confirmed to arrive by the end of 2022. The handheld version of No Man's Sky will reportedly launch with every update launched prior to release, presumably including Outlaws. The procedurally-generated space epic was apparently difficult to optimize for the aging Nintendo Switch, but a small team at Hello Games managed to successfully port the sci-fi experience.  However, no firm release date has been given for No Man's Sky on Switch.

No Man's Sky is perhaps the greatest success story in gaming history, with the game going from a well-known failure to an extremely effective sci-fi survival experience. The Outlaws update looks to improve that experience even further by overhauling ship combat and adding entirely new mechanics for rebels to enjoy. With the Outlaws update, No Man's Sky fans can now plunder the stars for fame and fortune.
