The new Nioh 2 DLC has finally released, bringing players into a whole new world of hidden skills and abilities. Players can complete specific criteria if they want to get involved and upgrade their characters with the new offerings. One particularly interesting new skill is The Sacred Bird Flight.

The Sacred Bird Flight is a Samurai Skill that allows players to perform a powerful horizontal strike with Sohoyamaru. This requires players to be moving at high speeds and is useful for taking out a lot of enemies within a wide area. This attack is perfect when surrounded by less powerful enemies, or for doing damage to an enemy that tends to cover a lot of ground while dodging. Here’s how to get The Sacred Bird Flight skill in Nioh 2.

How To Get The Sacred Bird Flight Samurai Skill In Nioh 2

This skill is locked within the new Darkness In The Capital DLC. Players without the DLC installed will not have access to this particular skill. Players should double-check that their game is up to date before looking for this particular mission and skill.

In order to get this skill, players will need to complete the Main Mission, Suzune in the Flames. This mission is one that will require players to have a good balance of speed and strength. It is recommended that players select armor that is on the lighter side, while not compromising too much on damage reduction. It is also recommended that players select powerful weapons, even if those may be slower to swing. The ease of mobility provided by light armor will be more valuable with the upcoming boss than faster attack speed at a lower damage rate.

Finally, players will meet Yorimitsu for the first time. This dangerous new character carries a spiked glowing sword and a sleek armor set. Unlike most of the previous human bosses, Yorimitsu is not someone who is easy to tank during the fight. Her attack patterns are sporadic and varied while covering large amounts of ground. Players will need to be able to move quickly as a result of her advanced speed. This will also become an issue when players are attempting to heal. Yorimitsu has a tendency to charge players relentlessly during the battle, so healing will be a matter of waiting for a good opening and getting some distance.

Players who defeat Yorimitsu will have a chance of gaining the Sacred Bird Flight skill. This is not guaranteed on the first try, so players may need to farm this boss battle a few times in order to get the skill. Once gained, it can be equipped and activated in the skills menu along with any other Samurai Skills gained during gameplay.
