Unlocking new clothing and accessories in Nintendo Switch Sports will put players to the test. When the original Wii Sports was released back in 2006, it took the entire globe by storm. The bundle tie-in with their motion-controlled console was Wii Sports, which quickly became a household name for all generations. In 2022, Nintendo Switch Sports modernizes this idea and adds a new coat of paint to go along with it.

In Nintendo Switch Sports, players can customize the look of their own character. The game features its own unique design for the custom characters but also allows players to use their own created Mii. Since most of this game can be experienced online, it's important to feel comfortable in what the player character is wearing. Fortunately, there are tons of different outfits to choose from with ways to unlock even more of them. The outfits don't do anything in terms of changing gameplay, but they do give a bit of creativity back to the player.

To unlock more outfits in Nintendo Switch Sports, the player will need to participate in as many online matches as possible. In each sport, points will be rewarded for participation. The better the player does in the sport, the more points they can earn at the end of the game. Simply playing a match will give at least 30 points as a reward. This number can be increased to about 100 per match, depending on the player's skill.

It's important to mention that an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription is required in order to play online. After obtaining 100 points, the game will reward a cosmetic item for free. Not only that, but these points can also be used to purchase more costumes from the cosmetic shop. The shop itself cycles new clothing options every week, so if something isn't catching the player's eye at this time, save those points for the next rotation. At the time of this article, the Simple Collection is currently occupying the Nintendo Switch Sports cosmetic shop.

It will be replaced with the Cute Collection starting on May 18th. Regardless, players looking to unlock every cosmetic in the game will need to grind for many points. The best way to do this would be by playing Nintendo Switch Sports Bowling as often as possible. It's the easiest sport to consistently get points for since there's very little room for error. So instead, aim for those multipliers that appear during the match to earn even more points at the end of the game.
