Things are about to get a little bloodier on the Nintendo Switch, as Rebellion Developments has announced Zombie Army Trilogy will be arriving on the console March 31st, 2020. As the precursor to the generic-yet-entertaining Zombie Army 4: Dead War, Zombie Army Trilogy was originally released in March of 2015 for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Created as a spin-off to the Sniper Elite seriesZombie Army games set themselves apart from other franchises by fully embracing the ridiculous nature of their plots while still offering an engaging combat experience.

Now, Rebellion Entertainment has announced that Zombie Army Trilogy is coming to the Nintendo Switch, and it's bringing all of the game content which was previously available on other consoles with it. This includes all three story campaigns, the popular Horde mode feature, and both single player zombie shooting and drop-in/drop-out co-op multiplayer for up to four people.

Additionally, Rebellion Entertainment is bringing new features to Zombie Army Trilogy on the Nintendo Switch, including motion controls, wireless local co-op, and Pro Controller support. The game has also been modified to support the Nintendo Switch's friend invitation system. Check out the announcement video below:

Having sold over four million copies worldwide, the Zombie Army games occupy a weird space in the video game landscape. On one hand, Hitler raising zombies in order to try and overpower the Allies in WW2 is a fairly overused plot point in both film and games these days, but on the other hand Zombie Army titles are consistently fun to play. Nintendo Switch players will get to decide for themselves whether Zombie Army Trilogy is worth it when it releases March 31st, 2020.
