Gaming giant Nintendo has announced that a new Indie World Showcase will happen on April 14. The event will be streamed on the official Nintendo video channels, and it will feature reveals for new games (but nothing on the scale of its bigger Nintendo Direct videos). The last Indie World Showcase revealed that Among Us was coming to Nintendo Switch on the very same day, which was the biggest announcement of the Indie Word series by far.

The official Nintendo of America Twitter page has announced that a new Indie World Showcase event will be held on April 14 at 9 AM PDT/12 PM EDT. The event can be viewed on the official Nintendo YouTube channel, and the pending stream's page is already live to serve as a reminder for waiting viewers about when the show starts. The event can also be seen on the official Nintendo Indie World website. Nintendo has confirmed that the event will run for roughly twenty minutes, so the potential for many large updates aren't likely

Nintendo's Indie World Showcase events feature announcements for smaller games, with the occasional big reveal to tie it all together and keep fans at bay. These smaller presentations usually don't live up to full Nintendo Directs or even Direct Mini Partner Showcases, but there's often a few great announcements scattered throughout each show. The Switch's 2021 game release schedule is still fairly light, so Nintendo could use some decent third-party and indie titles to pad out the rest of the year.
