Nine Perfect Strangers has turned into quite a hit with the premiere being the most viewed on Hulu. The miniseries is based on Liane Moriarty's novel of the same name. Moriarty previously wrote Big Little Lies, which was made into an HBO series written by David E. Kelley and starring Nicole Kidman. The same duo brought Nine Perfect Strangers to Hulu. The series revolves around nine strangers who come together at a wellness retreat and features an all-star cast that includes Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, Samara Weaving, and Manny Jacinto.

Per Comicbook, Hulu has announced that Nine Perfect Strangers had the most-watched series premiere ever on the streaming service. The first three episodes of the series were released on August 18, while the remaining five will drop on a weekly basis. Due to Hulu not being a broadcast or cable network, the viewership numbers are not known to the public, but like other streaming services, they are proud to announce when their programming has large ratings to boast their acclaim.

With the star-studded cast and many fans of the original novel, it does not come as a shock that the premiere has garnered a large viewership, but Hulu has had myriad popular series to its name including The Handmaid's Tale (which held the record for the most-watched original series premiere prior to Nine Perfect Strangers), Little Fires Everywhere, and The Great, which makes the achievement all the more impressive. Fans can now watch Nine Perfect Strangers on the streaming service with the fourth episode premiering August 25.
