Thanks to current Nightwing writer Tom Taylor, it's just been confirmed that Dick Grayson will be getting a brand new team-up story with Jason Todd's Red Hood in an upcoming annual issue. The second Robin, who was raised and trained by Batman after Dick, Jason Todd's adult vigilante career has been quite a bit different than his adoptive brother, but they've by and large always had each other's backs all the same. As such, it's going to be pretty fun to see Red Hood stopping by to lend a hand in Dick's city of Blüdhaven.

In previous issues of Nightwing's current era from Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo, Dick Grayson has already teamed up with the likes of Barbara Gordon's Oracle, with her acting as his eyes and ears while he attempts to help his city like he never has before. Likewise, he also brought in Tim Drake's Robin for some backup to help him save several homeless teens who were being targeted by the city's criminal elements. Now, it looks as though it will soon be Jason's turn to team up with Nightwing.

As confirmed on Twitter by Tom Taylor himselfNightwing's upcoming annual issue will see Dick Grayson and Jason Todd coming together as former Robins. While the details of their next adventure are still scarce, Taylor did provide first looks at the issue's cover art, featuring Nightwing spinning his classic escrima sticks while back to back with Jason. However, Jason is also sporting his fairly new look that has seen a return to his helmet rather than the hood and mask combo he'd been wearing in recent years. Not only that, but it looks as though Red Hood is also equipped with his new weapons that have replaced his guns, including a crowbar, electro-staff, and custom red batarangs that serve as knives as well as ranged projectiles.

While Nightwing and Red Hood have teamed up recently, it hasn't been just the two of them. DC's new Titans United series has them working together with a brand new team of classic Titans such as Starfire, Raven, Donna Troy, Conner Kent's Super Boy, Beast Boy, as well as Hawk and Dove. Furthermore, Dick and Jason also just joined up with Tim Drake and Stephanie Brown to track down Damian Wayne as former Robins, not to mention all the times they've both answered the call when Batman himself needs an assist. That being said, it's going to be pretty cool to see just the two of them working together in Blüdhaven.

In any case, seeing Nightwing and Red Hood fighting side by side is going to be all sorts of fun and no doubt all kinds of action-packed. It's rare to see just the two brothers working to save the day on their own, and as such, there's a strong opportunity for new revelations about their relationship and developments that could be revealed as well, which will be pretty exciting. Nightwing's annual issue will be released this November.
