Nicole Sherbiny and Mahmoud Elsherbiny are already married, but they have been called 90 Day Fiancé's most mismatched couple. Nicole and Mahmoud are one of two couples on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way who have already tied the knot, with the other being Daniele Gates and Yohan Geronimo. Nicole recently moved back to Egypt to be with her husband.
It is unusual to have actual married couples on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way season 4 since the franchise is supposed to be about engaged couples. At least when the pair has not yet walked down the aisle, there is hope that they will figure out if they are incompatible before it’s too late. For Nicole and Mahmoud, their blatant differences are incredibly obvious to viewers, who would probably be begging them not to get married if they had not already done so.
90 Day Fiancé’s Nicole & Mahmoud Are Complete Opposites
Nicole is a free-spirited fashionista, while Mahmoud is a strict Muslim who is all about following the rules. One of the couple’s biggest points of contention in their relationship is her clothes. No matter how conservatively Nicole dresses, Mahmoud, whose terms of endearment are problematic, thinks it is too risqué. When she first arrived at the airport, returning to Egypt after a months-long separation, one of the first things Mahmoud said to Nicole was that she needed to button up her jacket, despite every inch of her being covered. In a Reddit thread posted by u/TestingMurphysLaw about how mismatched Nicole and Mahmoud are, one user commented, “she’s a fashion designer who married someone who wants her to wear an all black head-to-toe burka.”
90 Day Fiancé’s Nicole Is As Incompatible With Islam As She Is With Mahmoud
Nicole converted to Islam shortly before her wedding to Mahmoud; however, she admitted to her parents that she really had no idea what she was committing to. Nicole, whose been compared to a Sims character, complained about how many strict rules there are and how she thought there would be more wiggle room. It’s probably not smart to commit to a new religion without asking some questions or at least gathering information. However, Nicole gave the excuse that she just wanted to make her husband happy.
Unfortunately, both Nicole and Mahmoud were miserable, which is why Nicole left Mahmoud and went back to the United States. It may be confusing to 90 Day Fiancé viewers who are confused as to why she thinks anything will be different now. It seems the same old arguments are going to be recycled, and the marriage is going to continue to suffer.
