Josh talking to Drake's girlfriend on Drake and Josh

The best episodes of Drake and Josh is usually a comedy of errors mixed with a classic misunderstanding, and the season 1 episode "Believe Me, Brother" is a shining example. The installment sees Drake's new girlfriend Susan take a shine to Josh, and start flirting with him whenever Drake isn't around. Josh at first hilariously doesn't pick up on her game, until she starts kissing him. Josh does everything in his power to prove his innocence and to hilarious results.

One of the best Drake and Josh episodes wouldn't be complete without a subplot involving Megan. Considering that the two older boys are terrified of their younger sister, the entire episode is spent in fear and paranoia of what Megan will do when she inevitably finds out the truth, resulting in some hilarious Drake & Josh quotes.

"Megan's Revenge" is a Drake and Josh episode that's essential for fans of Megan. The installment sees the step-brothers over-analyzing her every move and scared of their own shadows, at one point even turning on each other. In the meantime, Drake finds himself struggling with his masculinity. His girlfriend, Lucy, gets into an arm-wrestling match with him to determine who is tougher. Drake loses epically, proving Lucy's statement that girls are tougher than boys, and he spends much of the episode contemplating this fact. The installment sees growth from both Drake and Josh, and the episode definitively teaches them a thing or two about women.

Surprisingly, Megan lets Drake have her prize and he's over the moon with excitement. However, things get hairy when Josh accidentally sets his signed guitar on fire.

Josh spends the rest of the episode scrambling to find Drake the same guitar, and to astoundingly funny results. There's also a b-plot involving Josh's father and Drake's step-father Walter, a character who is often disrespected and doesn't get a lot of screen time. Walter tries to grow closer with Drake, but Drake manages to be busy every time they're supposed to get together. The installment gives Walter some due importance, and sees a couple of surprising character moments.

"Tree House" is inarguably one of the best Drake and Josh episodes, as it is consistently funny as Drake and Josh wait, bored and starving, in a tree house they accidentally trapped themselves in.

Megan torments them by grilling cheeseburgers next to the tree house, as Craig and Eric go on a date with twins meant to go out with Drake and Josh. Their predicament leads to Josh getting attacked by a squirrel and eventually the two of them knock the entire tree house to the ground in an episode that delivers on its hilarity. While Josh only appears in one scene of the episode, it remains an effortlessly enjoyable installment and one of the best episodes of Drake and Josh. Drake's band is set to have a big performance, but it gets rained out, leaving a large group of people in the house.

This creates a lot of funny scenes with Drake trying to find out what his girlfriend and ex-girlfriends are discussing behind his back. 6 Paging Dr. Drake — Season 3, Episode 8

Drake pretending to be a doctor on Drake and Josh

Drake ends up in all kinds of hairy situations, but "Paging Dr. Drake" saw him in one of the most ludicrous, and possibly life-threatening for those involved. Regardless, it ended up being one of the best episodes of Drake and Josh. In the installment, Josh needs foot surgery and goes to the hospital with his family, including his stepbrother Drake. However, Drake gets distracted when a gaggle of attractive nurses goes by.

In an effort to impress them, Drake decides to dress up and pose as a doctor. Things seem to be going smoothly, until another doctor comes in and mistakes him for a famous doctor. 5 Megan's New Teacher — Season 3, Episode 12

Josh pulling faces in front of a white board in Drake and Josh

Megan is technically Josh's stepsister, but she has it out for him just as much as she does her biological brother Drake. In one of the best Drake and Josh episodes, Josh is given the privilege of standing in as a student teacher in Megan's class. This goes just as well as expected, with Josh being an incorrigible teacher that hands out mountains of homework and bores the class to tears. An unpleasant side effect of this, however, is Megan is ostracized by her peers.

Megan soon finds that she's the class pariah because her stepbrother is such an awful excuse for a teacher. Not one to take things lying down, Megan decides to craft a plan that will publicly humiliate Josh in the science classroom to get him kicked out of the position for good. The installment doesn't feature a lot of Drake, but it does accurately display Megan's nefarious intelligence and is a truly laugh-out-loud installment.

4 Josh Is Done — Season 4, Episode 11

Drake drenched in Josh is Done

Perhaps no episode of Drake & Josh has contained as much dramatic weight as "Josh Is Done," and it's one of the best Drake and Josh episodes. After Drake runs over Josh's bike and leaves him at home on the morning of an important test, Josh is devastated and decides to shut Drake out of his life, no longer hanging out with him.

Drake's life spirals out of control as a result, as bad things begin to happen to him while Josh's life significantly improves. In the end, Drake sincerely apologizes to Josh for everything he has done, realizing how much he needs his brother in his life. The episode ends with Josh arriving in their bedroom to play ping pong with Drake in a hilarious scene. While the episode has many funny moments, it explores their relationship in a beautiful way. In addition, the storyline inspired the Drake and Josh book Josh is Done.

3 Blues Brothers — Season 2, Episode 9

Drake and Josh singing as the Blues Brothers

In one of the best Drake and Josh episodes, Walter brings Josh to do the weather broadcast on TV. However, after Megan scares Josh about his fear of messing up, Josh breaks into a twitching outbreak on TV. Meanwhile, Drake and his band are practicing for a talent show. When a rival music group steals Drake's song, Drake invites Josh onstage to help him win his confidence back with an epic performance of "Soul Man" from the Blues Brothers. The homage to the classic SNL "siblings" movie was the right move to make, and the episode was so well-recieved it was the inspiration for the narrative in the Drake and Josh book Blues Brothers.

Megan looking sorely disappointed on Drake and Josh

In one of the best episodes of Drake and Josh, season 3's "The Demonator", the brothers discover that a new roller coaster named the Demonator is opening at Mystic Mountain. After they leave Craig and Eric to watch him, Drake, Josh, and Megan wait in line at Mystic Mountain to ride the greatest roller coaster in the world. This, coupled with Papa Nichols waking up and believing Craig and Eric to be German captors, allows for a very entertaining episode. The hilarity of "The Demonator" resonated with audiences, and its storyline was the inspiration behind the Drake and Josh book Alien Invasion.

1 Josh Runs Into Oprah — Season 4, Episode 1

Drake talking to an excited Josh wearing an Oprah t-shirt

One of the funniest running gags on Drake and Josh is that Josh has a number one hero, and that's Oprah. He finally gets his lifelong wish in one of the best episodes of Drake and Josh. "Josh Runs into Oprah" — well, sort of. It's made known throughout Drake and Josh that Josh sees Oprah as somewhat of a godlike figure. When Drake forgets Josh's birthday, he feels extremely guilty and decides to make it up to him by getting two tickets to a live taping of her show.

Chaos ensues when the boys try to find the perfect parking spot and end up literally running into Oprah. It's certainly not how Josh imagined his very first meeting with his hero, with her holed up in the hospital. He does eventually get his lifelong wish of receiving her autograph, though it's at the bottom of a restraining order. "Josh Runs Into Oprah" was a perfect way to begin the final season of Drake and Josh, with a protagonist fulfilling a seemingly impossible dream in a quite unexpected, and hilarious, way.
