Two new fighters will be coming to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl on August 26 as part of Gamescom 2021's Future Games Show, and fans are already speculating as to who the most likely contenders could be. The first set of fighters on the roster has already been revealed for the Super Smash Bros. competitor, and many were quick to notice that quite a few seemingly obvious character choices were missing.

Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was first announced earlier in July as a crossover fighting game featuring iconic Nickelodeon characters, similar to Nintendo's formula for the Super Smash Bros. game series. Thus far, only fourteen characters have been confirmed as part of the game. The lineup not only includes well-known shows like SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but also a few more obscure choices as well such as Powdered Toast Man from Ren & Stimpy. It hasn't yet been hinted which show the two new additions could be brought in from.

There are already quite a few predictions circling the internet, though, including highly requested characters such as Rocko and Arnold - from Rocko's Modern Life and Hey Arnold!, respectively - to less popular nostalgic contenders. In terms of determining which of these possibilities is the most likely, though, it may be best to turn to what's already been released about the game. The initial announcement not only revealed Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's current fighter roster and battle stages, but also the game's box art, which may contain a large hint towards its two upcoming fighters.

Who Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl's New Fighters Could Be

Most Likely Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl New Character Reveals Ren Stimpy Gamescom 2021

The game's official box art features silhouettes of its characters, the majority of which have already been revealed as part of the current roster. There are a couple of inclusions that have yet to be announced for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, though, which has led some to speculate that they're the next fighters coming to the title and could in fact be the two characters announced during Gamescom 2021. Specifically, fans of Avatar: The Last Airbender and its sequel series The Legend of Korra were quick to note that silhouettes that strongly resemble Aang and Korra, the franchise's two protagonists, were included on the cover of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.

Two other possible inclusions, similarly based on the box art silhouettes, are Ren and Stimpy, the titular characters from the show of the same name. If they were to be included, it's likely that they would be released as a set, which aligns with the upcoming Gamescom reveal. That said, there's already a character from Ren & Stimpy included in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, so it's unclear whether developers would opt to introduce two more so soon rather than adding characters whose shows have yet to see any representation in the fighting game. Either way, Nickelodeon fans should be sure to tune in for the Future Games Show this week to get a first look at the future of Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl.
