Players can each equip a maximum of three Familiars at one time. Familiars are categorized into two, three, and four-star rarities, with the four-star rarity being the least common at a 4% appearance rate. To find a Familiar, players can hatch Eggs or participate in a random raffle. Of note, Familiars are different from mounts in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds.
Hippocampus is the best Water elemental Familiar with a base Combat Power of 17,942 and four-star rarity. For skills, Hippocampus's Heart allows this Familiar an additional 1% damage to other Water Familiars for each Water Familiar the player has equipped in. The primary active skill is Waterspout, which is a single target damaging ability that silences the enemy it hits. The secondary active ability, Torrent, is an area of effect that deals damage to all enemies and pulls the enemies within in the area of effect towards the middle of the arena.
Molten Lion is the best Fire elemental Familiar with a base Combat Power of 17,828 and four-star rarity. For skills, Molten Lion's Heart will decrease incoming elemental damage by 1% for each Fire Familiar the player has equipped in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds. This skill also increases damage by 1% when HP is below 20%. Molten Lion's first active ability is Eternal Flame, which creates an Immortality buff for 2.5 seconds and 7.5% HP restoration after the Immortality buff. Additionally, Final Flame allows Molten Lion to become Immortal for 7 seconds when the Familiar's HP falls below 10%. This ability also increases the basic attack damage by 50% and attack speed by 25%.

Stagthorn is the best Earth elemental Familiar with a base Combat Power of 17,828 and four-star rarity. For skills, Stagthorn's Heart will decrease incoming elemental damage pursuant to how many Earth Familiars the player has. Additionally, Divine Protection is an active ability that allows Stagthorn to harden and take reduced damage from enemies with a 5% chance of stunning them for 1 second while dealing additional damage in Ni No Kumi Cross Worlds. Finally, Nature's Revenge is the other active ability that has a wide area of effect and damages all enemies within its radius while dragging enemies toward Stagthorn.
Crab O'Lantern is the best Light elemental Familiar with a base Combat Power of 17,828 and four-star rarity. The skill Crab O'Lantern's Heart increases the Critical Hit Resist Rate while also decreasing the total damage received pursuant to the number of Light Familiars the player has equipped. The active ability Shining Pumpkin allows Crab O'Lantern to become immune to damage for 1.5 seconds, and it also allows him to heal and increase Skill Damage by 5%. Finally, the active ability Golden Pumpkin allows Crab O'Lantern to morph two enemies in the area of effect into pumpkins for a total of 5 seconds.
Finally, Arachnes, which has the appearance in Ni No Kumi Cross Worlds of a purple two-legged bat, is the best Dark elemental Familiar with a base Combat Power of 17,942 and four-star rarity. The passive ability Arachnes's Heart grants a 3% damage increase. The active ability Pierce deals additional damage equal to 5% of the player's maximum HP when it lands.
