According to SFX Magazine (via Trekweb), the idea of a "Next Generation" Star Trek movie may not be DOA afterall. In an interview with the magazine, Patrick Stewart stated that apparently there are still "money men" interested in continuing that branch of the franchise. From the magazine:
Following the box office failure of Nemesis, Stewart's been saying he believed the franchise was dead in the water for ages, but it seems there's been a turnaround, because he revealed there've been lots of serious meetings lately about a new film, and there are money men who want it to happen.
Personally, I don't feel the same towards this crew as I do towards the original. There was a camraderie and lightness of style with the original series cast that made them really endearing. That's just not there with this cast and although I enjoyed their run during the series I really don't have much of a desire to see them on the big screen again.
