To promote the launch of Amazon's new MMORPG New World, the game will be featuring exclusive Twitch Drops for a limited time. Twitch Drops are an engaging way to earn special in-game items by watching specific channels on Twitch. The Drops for New World are "Time-based," which means players can unlock rewards by watching any participating channel for a certain amount of time. Once the time requirement has been met, players can claim their exclusive in-game bonuses.
New World will feature a weapon skin set for its promotional collaboration with Twitch — the Vinespun Weapon Skin Set. The collection features stylish pieces of gear, including a shield, bow, axe, sword, life staff, and musket. To claim all of the weaponry, viewers must keep watching the Twitch channels participating in New World's Twitch event. Keep in mind that players can only progress towards one reward at a time. To get New World Twitch Drops, players will need to watch a combined total of ten hours of New World streamers on Twitch. Between September 28 and October 11 (5:00 p.m. PT), viewers will be able to earn all Drop rewards if they reach the ten-hour mark.

According to the official New World website, every streamer within the New World category on Twitch should have Drops enabled, meaning that fans can view a combination of channels to get their Drop rewards. To ensure Drops have been enabled for a particular channel, players should look for a Drops status overlay at the top of the live chat window.
Only players who have a Twitch account and are logged in when watching a New World stream are eligible to claim the Twitch Drops. Additionally, viewers must make sure that their Twitch and Steam accounts have been connected. Otherwise, the Drop reward can't be claimed. Players must sign in to Twitch on their viewing device or browser and in-game for New World. Then, they must confirm that their Steam profile is connected to their Twitch account as well. Once a player has earned a Drop on Twitch, they can claim the reward in the stream's chat window or their Drops Inventory. Drops should appear in-game within 24 hours after being claimed.
