Some New World players recently discovered an exploit that can easily make its users invincible. Amazon Games’ new MMORPG is only a few weeks old, and while the game had a strong launch with over half a million players jumping into the game on its first day, it has faced quite a few issues already. The most recent issue of late is not only the delayed release of New World server transfers, but also the recent news that players won’t be able to transfer their character to another server region - both of which have caused significant backlash from the community.

Apart from technical issues, though, there are players that have unfortunately run into some trouble while playing the game, due to individuals who have exploited some of the game’s mechanics. One of these includes players scamming their companies and factions out copious amounts of gold, under the guise of purchasing territory only to defect to another faction with a new character. There are also those that have abused New World's report system to ban players and prevent them from participating in faction wars. Now, it appears players are encountering new exploits.

In a new video, YouTube channel Kona (via PC Gamer) shows just how easy it is to perform the invincibility exploit. According to the video, all a player needs to do (to activate the invincibility exploit) is to switch their game to windowed mode and use their mouse to drag the game’s window. As long as the player keeps holding down their mouse button, their character won’t take any damage. The caveat though is once they let go, all the accumulated damage they received during that time will take effect. The exploit can also be used to freeze the character mid-air.

While the exploit might appear pretty useless at first glance - given the player eventually receives all the damage they’ve avoided taking - it can potentially be used in certain situations or in conjunction with other abilities to gain a definite advantage over others. In the video, Kona shows off one of the potential abuses of this exploit; the game’s player-versus-player modes, particularly during faction wars and the New World's Outpost Rush PvP mode - the latter of which can be massively disrupted if an invincibility exploit is present.

The ease at which the exploit is used is baffling and could negatively impact New World and its players who don't wish to use game-breaking tactics. With how easy it is to pull off, it will likely be used by more than a few players, especially during PvP. Hopefully, Amazon is able to quickly patch out this exploit before it can be abused to shift the balance of New Worlds' factions.
