The Outer Worlds: Peril On Gorgon continues the thrilling saga of the main game while giving players a ton of new missions, characters, and weapons. Players have been flooding back to the game, in part because of the new level cap that has been placed on the game. Players are now able to get all the way to level 33.

There has also been a new ceiling added to the skills system. Players are now able to put a whopping 150 points into maxing out their skills during the course of the game. Skills are a great way to improve your character's overall performance, allowing players to access parts of the game that could have been missed otherwise. Here's everything you need to know about the new skills in Peril On Gorgon.

New Skills in The Outer Worlds: Peril On Gorgon

Due to the new level and skills cap added to the game, players will now be able to take their characters to new heights. Players will want to make sure their characters are fully leveled before starting the DLC.

Melee Skills

  • One-Handed: One-handed melee attacks will now be able to do damage to 100% defensive armor.
  • Two-Handed: Power and Sweep attacks performed with two-handed weapons have a +50% attack multiplier.

Ranged Skills

  • Handguns: Critical hits from Handguns will now ricochet to hit other enemies.
  • Long Guns: All Non-Critical hits from Long Guns will ignore up to 50% of an opponent’s armor level.
  • Heavy Weapons: Heavy Weapons will now automatically reload themselves.

Defensive Skills

  • Dodge: Dodges will now hold a %25 chance of stunning enemies within 3 meters of the player.
  • Block: A Perfect Block from the player will now cause damage to their attacker.

Dialog Skills

  • Persuade: Chance to Cower now resets after 10 seconds. This allows a damaged Human to Cower again.
  • Lie: A player’s chance to Scramble will now be reset 10 seconds after an attack from an Automechanical.
  • Intimidate: Critical Hits against creatures will now hold a 25% chance of Terrifying the enemy.

Stealth Skills

  • Sneak: Sneak Attacks will now have no chance of alerting other enemies. Players can still be seen while performing sneak attacks on other enemies.
  • Hack: Hacking deactivated Automechanicals will now Scramble them.
  • Lockpick: This skill allows players to steal the first item within any locked container without a chance of consequence. Further items stolen can still result in the player being caught.

Tech Skills

  • Medical: The Inhaler will now net the player +20% Damage per each used Consumable Slot. This effect will last for 10 seconds.
  • Science: A Science Weapon’s Sway and Critical Chance will now be effected by the player’s Science skill level.
  • Engineering: Now, inserting new Mods will now get rid of the original Mod. Players can now reuse any Mods found.

Leadership Skills

  • Inspiration: Companions will now provide a 10% Skill Bonus to Player Skills while aboard The Unreliable.
  • Determination: When a Companion is sent back to The Unreliable, a different Companion can replace them.
