The next generation of consoles is right around the corner, but that doesn’t mean the age of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One are over just yet. While Sony is making the transfer from PS4 to PS5 as easy as possible for gamers, there’s still a while before the PS4 becomes obsolete. PS4 games will continue being made for years to come. In fact, the year isn’t done with the PS4. There are still tons of PS4 games releasing before 2020 ends, including the PlayStation exclusive Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Ever since the PS5’s reveal, the hype for the next generation console has been massive. Various retail websites ran out of PS5 preorders within minutes of being available, causing fans to wait weeks before more consoles were available to preorder. With the amount of excitement around the launch of the PS5, Sony announced that the PS5 will not be available in stores on launch day, citing safety concerns with long lines during the global pandemic.

While Sony has been focusing on the launch of the PS5, it hasn’t ignored PS4 gamers. There are many popular upcoming games that will be available on both PS4 and PS5, such as Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Destiny 2: Beyond Light, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, and Cyberpunk 2077. PlayStation CEO Jim Ryan also suggested that PS5 exclusives will also come to PS4 through 2022, giving PS4 players more games to enjoy in the future.
