Fans of New Pokémon Snap will be able to turn their in-game pictures into real prints thanks to a new collaboration between Nintendo and Fujifilm. After taking more than 20 years, the much-awaited sequel to 1999’s Pokémon Snap, which was released on the Nintendo 64, is finally set to launch on the Nintendo Switch next week on April 30. The game’s director Haruki Suzaki recently revealed that while there were attempts to make other Pokémon Snap games in the past, none of them came to fruition.

With all the excitement revolving around the incoming release of New Pokémon Snap, Nintendo is making sure that fans (at least in Japan) have much more to purchase than the game itself. The company recently announced that it’s releasing an array of New Pokémon Snap-themed merchandise, including decorative masking tape, a photo album, magnet frames, a jigsaw puzzle, and more. The merchandise is unfortunately only available at Pokémon Center stores in Japan, with no news on whether the merchandise will become available elsewhere.

Luckily, the newly announced collaboration between Nintendo and Fujifilm will be available worldwide. Fujifilm recently unveiled not only a new Switch-themed version of its Instax Mini Link photo printer but also an “instax mini Link for Nintendo Switch” smartphone app. The printer and app will allow Nintendo Switch owners to edit screenshots from the console and print them out as Polaroid-style photos. Users need only choose one of the images or screenshots they have saved on their Switch and generate the QR code for it for the new app to scan. Users will then be able to edit the image with the app and send it to the Instax Mini Link for printing.

The new “instax mini Link for Nintendo Switch” smartphone app features three themes for its design, including Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Super Mario, and New Pokémon Snap. It also comes with 59 frames, featuring characters from the three aforementioned games, that users can add to their photos. As for the new printer, Fujifilm is calling the new variant the Ash White Link. It features a white body and red and blue accents. The company is also releasing a Pikachu silicone case for the printer as part of a limited-edition kit. The app, printer, and silicone case will be released at the same time as New Pokémon Snap.

New Pokémon Snap fans in Japan who aren’t able to get the new printer will, fortunately, have an alternative way to print their in-game photos though as Nintendo has also partnered with the country’s Lawson convenience store chain for on-demand printing of New Pokémon Snap photos. While some of the New Pokémon Snap-themed merchandise and promotions aren’t going to be available outside of Japan, at least fans of the game around the world will have access to this new collaboration between Nintendo and Fujifilm.
