New Pokémon Snap is an on-rails photography simulator where players take on the role of a Pokémon Researcher. The game involves snapping Pokémon in the wild and reporting back to Professor Mirror, who will rate the player's photos. Fans of this new take on a classic game took no time in populating the internet with plenty of reaction images and adorable photos captured in-game.
New Pokémon Snap improves the original's photo editing capabilities by introducing frames and stickers that players can use to give their pictures more personality or even tell a story. Once the photo has been snapped out in the wild, players can head back to the Research Lab and open their Album to access all the fun new edits that can be made. New frames and stickers are unlocked as the player progresses through the game or completes certain Requests.
Another defining feature of New Pokémon Snap is the ability for players to upload their photos to the internet via an in-game portal. Users can give each other's photos Sweet Medals, and the highest ranked photos will be pushed to the Trending list for all to see. The Trending list can be toggled to show photos only from users who share the same language as the player, or worldwide. While the Trending list isn't directly tied to how the photos are ranked in-game, such as the star-ratings, it is common for players to give out more Sweet Medals to photos that they know were hard to capture. Espeon is one of the many Eeveelutions that have been introduced throughout the Pokémon franchise, and this is a perfect photo to represent the majesty that is this psychic-type Pokémon. The glowing nature of this photo, taken by a player named mallow, is due to a perfectly timed Illumina Orb thrown by the player to elicit this response from Espeon. Taken in the Elsewhere Forest, this adorable shot of Espeon has over 15,000 Sweet Medals, making it one of the highest ranked photos on the Trending list.

This is a perfect example of the fun stickers in Pokemon Snap that can be used to spice up photos. This shot of the Pokémon Morelull was captured in the Founja Jungle on the night course by a player named Ed and then given distinguishing features, such as a mustache and bowtie. Though normally a white Pokémon, this photo of Morelull was captured by zooming in very closely and waiting until the Pokémon was out of direct lighting.
