Some brand new photos from the upcoming movie adaptation of Cormac McCarthy's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Road have hit the web and Screen Rant has them here for you.
Check them out:
The Man (Mortensen) embraces The Boy (McPhee)
The Man finds shelter in an abandoned car
The Mom (Charlize Theron) contemplates her fate
Check these cool behind the scenes pics as well:

The more I see from this movie, the more I'm confident that director John Hillcoat (The Proposition) has done right by McCarthy's bleak vision of post-apocalyptic America. Viggio Mortensen and young Kodi-Smit McPhee look like they have really nailed the lead roles of The Man and The Boy. No matter how gritty they look, you can see their father/son bond holding strong. Great acting, from great actors. I can't wait to see this movie.
Still no word on when the Weinstein Co. plans on releasing The Road. In the meantime you can check out Screen Rant's collection of production stills here. After you've had a look, let us know what you think.
