Apple TV+ Original series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet is set to release a new half-hour special called “Quarantine” while in lockdown. Rob McElhenney, series co-creator, and executive producer finds that people can relate to the episode's plot as people around the world tackle working from home and also game virtually.

In the show, team members usually work in their video game development studio. However, this time, they must coordinate virtually. Apple TV+ released a brief promo on YouTube showing the character Ian, played by Rob McElhenney, video-calling from his hot tub. During the new special, characters Brad (Danny Pudi) and David (David Hornsby) are supposed to engage in a competition. In the meantime, assistant Jo (Jessie Ennis), will frustratedly explain to older character C.W. (F. Murray Abraham) how to use video-conferencing technology.

Earlier, the production of the show was put on hold due to the pandemic. However, the cast and crew figured out how to film in different locations remotely to bring the episode together. The turnaround time was relatively quick, as people used filming devices like their iPhones to produce and deliver footage. McElhenney hopes to capture the pros and cons of remote working and the unique climate of today's world.

Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet, also co-created by Charlie Day and Megan Ganz, streamed its first season on Apple TV+ and received promising reviews as one of the fresher comedies released in 2020. The show is a unique departure from co-creator Day’s and McElhenney’s long-running comedy series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The new series has been renewed for a second season this year, and viewers can subscribe to the streaming service to watch it. The new episode will surely shed a funny light on the highs and lows of socially distanced working.
