When Fox first shelved The New Mutants film some fans thought we might never see the horror-themed X-Men spin-off, but thankfully Disney has announced they will finally be releasing the film into theaters! But who are The New Mutants? We've assembled a few comics and collectibles for new fans to explore and old fans to celebrate the release of the new film!

The New Mutants began as Professor Charles Xavier's first official new class of X-Men, and their adventures began back in Marvel Graphic Novel #4 from Chris Claremont and Bob McCleod. That origin story has been collected along with the first few issues of their ongoing series along with the Magik limited series to give fans the best introduction to the team possible.
As we've seen in the trailers for The New Mutants, the "Demon Bear Saga" will play a role in the film, and fans can dive into one of The New Mutants' most memorable storylines featuring amazing art from comic legend Bill Sienkiewicz. As for the team's current adventures, fans can also pre-order the first volume of their new "Dawn of X" series!

And while we aren't likely to see many tie-in toys or collectibles for the film, there are a few options out there for fans hoping to bring home some of the more comic-accurate collectibles that are currently on the market.
Marvel Legends is releasing a new Dani Moonstar action figure that comes with a head for Karma as well as Wolfsbane, allowing fans to assemble three different figures! And fans of Illyana Rasputin/Magik, who will be played by Anya Taylor-Joy in the film, will love this ArtFX+ statue of Magic in her Marvel Now armored costume!

So far we've only had a few official images of the film come out, and fans of the New Mutants can show their love for the team and the upcoming film with a few great metal prints from Displate, which is currently offering free shipping on all orders with the code "FREE" at checkout.
The first poster that was released for the film before it was shelved features the cast as they try to break through the poster, calling back to some of the terrifying imagery first seen in the trailer. The second print features our first look at the assembled cast done in the WPAP art style.
