Following the rollout of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - The Definitive Edition official screenshots, many fans on social media are showing concern over Grove Street Games' development and pointing out blunders made on the images. Though gameplay footage has remained scarce since its first full trailer, more screenshots of the GTA trilogy remaster have been unearthed and made available to the public over time. These screenshots give a deeper glimpse of the new art style and graphical enhancements coming to Grand Theft Auto 3, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas in the collection on November 11.

Previously known as War Drum Studios, Grove Street Games specializes in enhancing and porting video games from third-party developers to newer platforms, most notably mobile devices. The studio has a history with Rockstar Games, having worked on Grand Theft Auto (and other Rockstar) ports for over 10 years. With confirmation that Grove Street Games were developing GTA trilogy remaster for over two years instead of Rockstar Dundee, some fans already voiced their concerns before the release of the title.

Posted on Twitter by the oldest fan community dedicated to Grand Theft Auto and Rockstar Games, GTANet shared numerous new screenshots of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition and some fans aren't cheery about its presentation. While the remasters graphical improvements aren't touched upon, eagle-eyed fans pointed out the official screenshots have a handful of mistakes that make the title seem exceedingly unpolished or rushed for marketing. These sentiments specifically address characters clipping through objects, graphical glitches, and many more that appear to worry fans - in part due to the title's imminent release date, numerous bugs, control problems, and severely degraded graphics. One popular GTA-related Youtuber, Vadim M criticized one of the screenshots, poking fun at Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas Ryder's hand clipping through a baseball bat by tweeting, "Holding the bat like a busta."

Upon its first full reveal trailer, some fans showed distaste for the remaster's visual style, remarking that its graphics looked too "cartoonish" for a Grand Theft Auto game. Instead of taking a more realistic approach like recent Rockstar games, the developers instead opted to retain Grand Theft Auto's trademark comic-book style with visual improvements. As a result, the GTA trilogy remaster will likely be a mix of old and new graphics, enhancing its visuals while staying true to the originals.

Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy - Definitive Edition is set to release next week on November 11th and there are multiple questions raised about whether Grove Street Games will successfully deliver the remaster collection. It is unknown whether the game has been left unpolished or captured in its beta state, but players will finally be able to find out if the GTA trilogy remaster lives up to its potential soon.
