Mark Dawson's series tells the story of Beatrix Rose, a former agent of Group Fifteen, a covert division of British Intelligence tasked with handling the jobs too delicate for MI6. With numeric codenames to indicate an agent's effectiveness, Rose's designation as Number One honors her as one of the deadliest assassins around. But Rose was betrayed by her department's head, also known as Control, who was involved in a conspiracy. Rose was driven underground after her husband was killed and her daughter was kidnapped, putting her on a path to settle the score with those who have wronged her.
Dawson's main series has been told in a trilogy of stories, along with a few one-off adventures for Beatrix. Now, Screen Rant can exclusively announce that Rose is getting a brand new adventure in the form of Beatrix Rose: Vigilante, a new digital comic series for the ComiXology Originals program. From We Only Kill Each Other and Harley Quinn writer Stephanie Phillips and Stranger Things: The Bully and Assassin's Creed: Reflections artist Valeria Favoccia, Beatrix Rose: Vigilante will give fans of the original series the intrigue and action they've come to expect from the top-notch assassin. Aside from that interesting laurel, the preview is a dynamic first look that captures the intense action that can be found in Mark Dawson's original novels. From just the preview alone, it looks as though Phillips and Favoccia have created something that will please both old fans and newcomers alike.
