DC Comics is adding a new villain to Gotham. On Thursday, writer James Tynion IV revealed that a new face will be showing up to wreak havoc in Bruce Wayne's city in the next installment of Batman stories, Miracle Molly. Tynion IV teased that fans are going to love the new character, who's set to be a part of a high tech gang of thieves called the Unsanity Collective.

Tynion IV and artist Jorge Jimenez have made quite the impact since taking over DC's main Batman title last year. The pair have created a number of new characters that were introduced ahead, during, and after the 'Joker War' arc. New heroes include the tech-savvy rival of Bruce Wayne, Ghost-Maker, as well as the young and violent Clownhunter. He has also introduced new villains, including the popular, cunning partner of the Joker, Punchline, while also rotating new faces to take on Batman in different smaller arcs. After Future State, Batman will face off against the Scarecrow, but that doesn't mean he's the only villain he will be up against.

In his TinyOnion newsletter, Tynion IV teased what's coming next in a new era for Gotham City in the Batman Infinite Frontier timeline. He teased the new character Molly Miracle, who will be making her first partial appearance in Batman #106 and her first full appearance in Batman #108. Tynion describes her as a member of a gang called the Unsanity Collective, who will play big parts in his upcoming run. He described the "The Cowardly Lot," arc will be about the nature of fear versus memory, which will pit Scarecrow against Miracle Molly. He showed off brand new art showcasing the character's colorful look.

Tynion wrote about how Molly Miracle will build the tech for the Unsanity Collective, and said he hopes readers will dig her as much as he does.

The Unsanity Collective are a high tech gang of thieves who use technology to erase and reset their memories, so they can let go of all the fear and trauma holding themselves back. Miracle Molly builds all of their hardware. She’s unlike any of the other characters I’ve written in and around Gotham, and I f**king LOVE her. So I hope you love reading about her, too…

Molly Miracle's design is fabulous. Her colorful outfit, tattoos, leopard print pants, and tech features throughout her body are immediately interesting. Given one of her eyes is robotic and the design hints at more tech features modified into her body, it seems as though she's into body modification at a very advanced level. Molly Miracle has a great look and if her personality is even half as colorful as her design, then Gotham's about to get even more exciting. Tynion IV and Jimenez's Batman run returns March 2nd, 2020.
