A brand new online tool for Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows players to advertise their island using in-game screenshots and videos. Since its launch in March 2020, the life simulation game has been highly regarded for giving players creative freedom over their own personal island. Even a year after release the New Horizons continues to receive support from developer Nintendo.

Despite being a largely single-player experience, Animal Crossing: New Horizons was able to maintain a huge community of players in its first year of release. An in-game economy quickly bloomed as players began to trade goods, create customized memorials or tributes and explore each others' creations through the use of island codes. The developers have also continued to make additions and adjustments to the title, turning New Horizons into an ever-evolving creative environment. Seasonal events have become shorter and less intrusive, and additional storage space was made available to allow players to collect a larger variety of items.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons' recently-created Nintendo Island Tour Creator will bring the game's community even closer together by allowing players to share their island with the world. The website, which is available now and designed for use on smartphones, lets players take in-game screenshots or recordings and turn them into customized posters or trailers. The options range from basic to advanced, allowing a wide range of players to take advantage of the feature. Screenshots and recordings can be transferred from the Nintendo Switch to the user's smartphone, or Twitter can be used to gather the media being used.

Even before the introduction of the Island Tour Creator, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a constant source of gaming creativity. One player used the game's Custom Design Portal to create an Animal Crossing t-shirt and flag inspired by the popular game Among Us, depicting the game's iconic red crewmate. The player's crafty design elicited a response from the Among Us developers, demonstrating the popularity of New Horizons' fan creations. Another New Horizons player used the game's sandbox to recreate the Hogwarts Express, the iconic train from the Harry Potter series.

Since its launch, Animal Crossing: New Horizons has given players the tools to express themselves creatively and constructively. Players put time and effort into their own individual islands, making these virtual homes a reflection of each player's own personality and taste. The Island Tour Creator will continue the game's mission by providing players with yet another way to show off their creativity and dedication.
