The Ultimatum is the newest explosive reality series on Netflix that explored the option of an ultimatum in a relationship. For the chosen couples, one gave the other an ultimatum (marriage and children or break up), which led them to the show to help with their decision.

To make sure each couple truly wanted to be together, they went through trial marriages with other people. The outcome of the experiment was nothing less than eye-opening. Now that the reunion is out, the stars of the show are open about their new realities on Instagram. Cast members like Nathan Ruggles and Hunter Parr have the lowest Instagram followers, respectively, but which Ultimatum castmate has the biggest following since the show's release?

Lauren (@LaurenKilos): 91.8 Thousand

While Lauren's fiance Nathan had just over 26,000 followers, Lauren swept him with over 91,000 (as of this article's publishing).

Lauren and Nathan were on the show because they couldn't come to a decision on children. Nathan was ready for kids and marriage but Lauren didn't want to promise him children if she didn't want them. In the end, they were one of the first couples to leave the show after the third episode. Instead of going through with the trial marriage, Nathan realized he didn't need the trial run to know he wanted to marry Lauren, despite her thoughts on kids. At the reunion, the two said they were still engaged and compromised on having one child.

Alexis (@AlexisElaineMaloney): 145 Thousand

Fans of The Ultimatum would love other shows about reality dating on Netflix because of how relatable and shocking some of the moments were. One of the more shocking moments in The Ultimatum was when Alexis said she didn't want to marry her boyfriend Hunter because he didn't make enough money. But in a turn of events, Hunter proposed to Alexis before the trial marriage and she accepted.

On Instagram, Alexis has shown off some of her and Hunter's wedding plans and festivities. At the reunion, the two are still going strong and excited to start their future together.

Colby (@Colby_Kiss): 147 Thousand

It was an unpopular opinion to dislike Colby at the start of The Ultimatum. He was one of the most liked by the women and he adored his girlfriend, Madlyn. However, opinions of him changed as the series continued because of text messages Madlyn found on his phone.

Unlike the other couples, it was Colby who gave Madlyn an ultimatum. He was ready for marriage and babies and felt like she was dragging him through the mud. The two went through a rollercoaster of ups and downs but in the end, he proposed to her and she said yes. To make matters more shocking, they got married right then and there with the cameras rolling. If that wasn't dramatic enough, the two declared that they were pregnant at the reunion.

Zay (@TheOfficialZayWilson): 149 Thousand

There were a few couples that are still together from The Ultimatum, but Zay and Rae were not one of them. Rae and Zay's biggest issue was communication. Zay loved Rae but felt like she never opened up or trusted him to love her. Likewise, Rae hated Zay's activity on social media and didn't think he took their relationship seriously.

On Zay's Instagram, which has an impressive following, he shows off some modeling photos, appearances, and his time on the show. As of the reunion, he and Rae are no longer together and were in a worse place than they were when they started.

Jake (@ItsJakeCunningham): 160 Thousand

Jake had some of the best quotes in The Ultimatum. He was honest, forthcoming, and spoke his mind in an understanding way to those who listened.

Jake loved his girlfriend April and was loyal to her but when she gave him an ultimatum because she was ready for marriage and a family, Jake hit the breaks. After recently leaving the military, Jake wasn't ready for that step. It was during Jake's trial marriage with Rae that he realized life with April wasn't what he wanted. Instead of proposing, the two broke up and remained broken up.

Randall (@Rl_Griffin): 180 Thousand

What made The Ultimatum one of the best reality dating shows is that the castmates reflected on what was working or not working during their trial marriage. The trial marriage is when two strangers live together for three weeks to explore what a possible relationship with each other could be like.

While Randall got along great with his trial marriage partner, he ultimately chose the woman he arrived with, Shanique. Shanique accepted Randall's proposal but it came out during the reunion that they broke up and were taking their relationship at a slower pace.

Shanique (@Shaniqueimari): 186 Thousand

There were times where The Ultimatum was so bad it was good. Shanique had moments of doubt with both Zay (her trial marriage partner) and Randall (her then-boyfriend) and it led to some amazing reality TV drama.

Shanique gave Randall the ultimatum because she wanted a jump start on their future. Randall wasn't ready for that step but realized he'd rather be with Shanique than not. At the reunion, Shanique mentioned that they called off their engagement, dated other people for a short time, but are now back together for another chance.

Madlyn (@MadlynBllatori): 197 Thousand

Madlyn started the series as one of the more controversial cast members because of how she treated her then-boyfriend Colby. Colby was ready for a more secure future together but Madlyn wasn't sure Colby was the one for her.

While she kept mum on Instagram until after the reunion, fans were shocked to find out that she was pregnant. Considering how problematic she and Colby were during their time on The Ultimatum, it was a twist that they were able to make it work. On Instagram, she shows more of her pregnancy and relationship with Colby.

Rae (@Rae.Williams): 227 Thousand

Rae gave her then-boyfriend, Zay, an ultimatum to put a ring on it or leave. As much as Zay loved Rae, he didn't like being pressured to make such a big decision.

After the trial marriage with Shanique, Zay knew that Rae was the woman for him and was ready to commit to her. However, things changed. Rae was now the one unsure of her feelings for Zay after she connected with Jake. At the reunion, the former couple said they broke up and Rae was now in a new relationship with someone else.

April (@ItsAprilMarie): 362 Thousand

The Ultimatum was a creative reality show concept because it showed an inside look at various relationships. From the show, April is the most followed cast member. She entered the reality series after giving her then-boyfriend Jake an ultimatum and left the show single.

In the final episode, Jake wasn't ready to propose to April and she left. At the reunion, Jake and April remained broken up and she surprised everyone by saying she was in a new serious relationship and that she was finally fulfilled in her love life.
