What makes it so funny is that the winners of Too Hot to Handle ended up getting way less money than they could've because so many contestants broke the rules. While she certainly took home more than $10.50, fans who saw THTH appreciated the exaggeration.

One of the most likable players ever is Lee Swift. He appeared in season 2 and was a catfish who entered as a much younger person named River. While it was a smart strategy, there was one thing Lee wasn't going to try as River.
He wasn't interested in flirting with anyone for a handful of reasons, including that he simply doesn't know how to anymore. Having been with his partner for several decades, Lee was way out of practice in romancing someone new and his delivery here made it work.
A Relatable Contestant

When season 1 first began, Joey Sasso didn't seem like he'd become a favorite. He came across as an over-the-top guy who would rub people the wrong way. Of course, within a few episodes, everyone understood that this was a wholesome guy to root for.
One of the earliest scenes where fans related to him came in the debut episode. The contestants discussed whether or not they pee in the shower and Joey, along with most players, confirmed that he does. When he found that a few people didn't do so, he voiced his feelings on it out loud.

Seaburn will forever go down as one of the best catfish players in The Circle history. He fooled everyone under the guise of a girl named Rebecca but he nearly got caught during one pivotal conversation with the other girls.
As they discussed struggling with cramps, each lady mentioned something about the pain they go through. When Seaburn tried to say his piece, he oddly opted for a specific pain in a part of the body that doesn't make sense. All of the women were confused, some suspected a catfish, and everyone at home laughed.
The Circle Feels Like Your Teen Years
"First Position Will Be Your Favorite Player, And Seventh Position Will Be Your Least Favorite Player. Oh My Gosh, This Is Like High School All Over Again." - Chris
Nearly everything that Chris Sapphire said was hilarious and it's a huge reason why he's such a beloved contestant. He said this line after having the rules of the rankings explained to him and it's another case of a player being relatable.
Chris found that ranking the fellow contestants based on popularity hit too close to home and felt like he was back in high school. Given how well Chris did in The Circle, it can be expected that he was also popular in high school.
Lee Gets It

Lee put in the effort to come across as a 24-year-old in almost every situation and he mostly did a great job. Early on in his season, Lee was involved in a chat and said the above line, which wasn't that funny on its own.
What makes it so funny is that he indeed used the proper lingo of saying someone is "lit" and that he made sure to acknowledge his own success. Lee didn't nail every aspect but he was pretty good at chatting with his fellow players.
A True Ladies' Man

Jack is another person who entered the game as a catfish, playing as a female. He got caught in one of the show's most embarrassing moments when he failed a makeup challenge and gave himself away as a catfish.
Beforehand, he was actually playing a strong game, evidenced by this line. Playing as Emily, Jack was part of a girl group chat and patted himself on the back for how well it was going, though he added a line about his real life struggles with women that made viewers chuckle.
The Truth About Destiny's Child

It doesn't matter whether or not you were a fan of Destiny's Child, everyone knows the concept of how Beyoncé was the only breakout star of the group. That's nothing against the talents of Kelly and Michelle, though.
Chris noted this idea when talking with his some of the other players. He was happy to label the others as Michelle and Kelly but wanted the audience to understand that only one person could be the true star.
Maybe She Should Watch Hamilton

Oh, Chloe. The girl was known for saying things that didn't quite line up and often made audiences wonder if she knew what she was talking about. That was the case when she discussed the history between England and America.
Chloe said that she'd win the hearts of the American viewing audience because her country and theirs had never gone to war, though all she has to do is check a history book to learn about the Revolutionary War. Regardless, she was right about being popular, winning the Fan Favorite Award.

Leave it to Chris to turn a conversation about working out into something hilarious. While in a group chat with some of the guys, the topic of exercising came up and the guys challenged each other to do push-ups.
Most of the men didn't do it, with only Shubham giving it a try. However, Chris had the funniest line when he spoke to himself in poetic fashion about how he didn't work out and instead just sat there and snacked.
