The first season of the new Netflix series, Space Force, follows the recently created branch of United States government as the cast of quirky and eccentric characters try to succeed in their mission to travel to and put troops the moon. The show is a thinly veiled political satire that takes aim at the real-life program and other American politicians and government figures.

One of those characters is F. Tony Scarapiducci, portrayed by Ben Schwartz, who is Space Force's head media consultant. F. Tony is one of the most obnoxious yet hilarious characters of the comedic series and here are some of his funniest lines throughout the first season of the show.

"Siri, send tweet!"

The show first introduces F. Tony as Space Force's head media consultant as he has a conversation with General Mark Naird (Steve Carell) about the next tweet the department will send out.

Naird thinks the conversation is idiotic and it doesn't matter and dismisses F. Tony because he has more important things to worry about. Naird orders him to be detained until after the launch so he can't tweet anything and he tries to yell at Siri to send the tweet he was just typing.

"F*** you, American Apparel."

F. Tony is upset when a possible outside consultant's publicist is an old rival that he claims got him fired from American Apparel.

He figures out that Hannah and her boss might be lying about the fuel they are trying to have Space Force use and when he tells Naird and Dr. Mallory they're both proud of him, which prompts him to say this line in victory.

"You seem like the type of guy that pretends to like jazz."

F. Tony describes the situation they're in, having to scramble to find a crew to go to space as having to improvise just like in jazz.

He tries to give his team a pep talk and tells Dr. Mallory (John Malkovich) that he looks like the type of guy who pretends to like jazz. It's a backhanded non-compliment that Dr. Mallory lets slide because of the stress of the situation.

"Gerald Ford, hochi mochi! You kidding me with that guy? He was poured into that suit."

F. Tony, Dr. Mallory, and Brad are trying to find new crew members for the rapidly approaching launch and go off on a tangent about how attractive or unattractive historical figures were.

They argue about whether Abraham Lincoln was a beautiful man or a Frankenstein minus the bolts and then move onto former President Ford. It's a random and hilarious scene that could have lasted a lot longer with dialogue like this.

"One time my history teacher gave me a C so I planted drugs in his desk, and now, he lives under a bridge like a troll."

This is one of those quotes that makes the audience think they might have misheard the quote, but they hadn't at all and it is just that out there and insane.

It quickly tells a wild story and gives some backstory into F. Tony's life and just how terrible he can be when someone tries to interfere with his reputation and success.

"Just let him fly the f***ing thing! You're talking, he's gotta fly!"

Two men in a plane wearing headsets in a scene from Space Force.

A lot of the reason this line is so hilarious is because of the way actor Ben Schwartz delivers the line. F. Tony and Dr. Mallory are being flown in a helicopter by General Naird and Mallory continues to debate scientific merits with Naird, which prompts this line from F. Tony.

He obviously hasn't been up in a helicopter often, if at all, and he screams at Mallory in a panicked yell.

"B****** actually don't like to be called b****** anymore."

This quote is a bit of a roller-coaster as F. Tony gives some background into the word and its origins and Captain Ali asks him how he knows all of this. He says his college gender studies professor made him write a paper about it after he called her a b**** and ends by saying that she actually kinda was one.

It's such an odd quote for the obnoxious character because he starts off strong, standing up for women and advocating against demeaning language, and completely ruins it within ten seconds.

"Scientists are weird. That's why you're the only Muppet that speaks nonsense, even Animal uses words."

Both F. Tony and Naird are making fun of Dr. Mallory as he tries to argue in favor of his experiments being included at the budget hearing due to their importance. Naird says that the fact that scientists rely on reason makes them a liability and F. Tony contributes with this quote.

He's referring to the scientist Muppet Beaker who only speaks the word "meep" at different inflections. It's a pretty hilarious reference and the fact that F. Tony knows The Muppets that well makes it even funnier.

"I don't even know why I'm explaining clap-back theory to you."

F. Tony tries to explain how the Space Force twitter can get traction and followers, but General Naird doesn't understand or really care to understand it. F. Tony gets frustrated after trying to explain "clap-back theory" to Naird and delivers this line in a tired voice.

The fact that media and marketing have to know what this is in modern times and the fact F. Tony refers to it as a theory is hilarious.

"Why am I in trouble because Boomers are weird around women?"

F Tony Space Force

A congressman randomly hugs General Naird before a budget meeting and F. Tony urges him to just go with it. Naird awkwardly hugs a congresswoman he had never met before and she's not comfortable with the familiarity.

Naird and Dr. Mallory get mad at F. Tony for his suggestion and he says this line, more to himself about how he shouldn't be the one getting in trouble because the older Naird doesn't know how to interact with women professionally.
