The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina adds two more actors to its cast. After Riverdale showed that there was an audience for a darker and scarier take on traditionally wholesome comics, there was almost immediately fan interest in a spin-off of the series for Sabrina the Teenage Witch. Now, the Sabrina series has been picked up by Netflix and casting is already underway, with Kiernan Shipka playing the eponymous Sabrina and Jaz Sinclair appearing as her best friend, Rosalind Walker.

The series has been described as being in the same vein as horror movies like Rosemary's Baby and The Exorcist. The story is about Sabrina being caught between two worlds. She's half human and half witch, and she's trying to figure out where she fits in both worlds as both good and evil try to influence her. Based on her relationships in the comics, as well as a previously released character description, there are still a number of roles to be cast - including Sabrina's two Aunts and her love interest, Harvey, as well as other humans and non-humans in Sabrina's life. And it looks like the newest additions to the cast are filling up some of those roles.

Deadline reports that two more actors have been cast in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. Michelle Gomez joins the cast as Sabrina's favorite teacher, Mary Wardell, who is possessed by Madame Satan - the devil's handmaiden - and uses manipulative behavior to try and seduce Sabrina to the forces of darkness. And Chance Perdomo will be playing Sabrina's trouble-making warlock cousin, Ambrose, who is forbidden from leaving the Spellman family funeral home.

Michelle Gomez as Missy The Master in Doctor Who

Gomez is possibly best known in North America for playing Missy on Doctor Who over the past few years. The Scottish actress has also been seen on a few episodes of Gotham and has been featured on numerous TV shows in the UK. Meanwhile, Perdomo is a relative newcomer to acting. He's been in a handful of short films since 2016, but before now, his biggest role was on a single episode of Midsomer Murders. No doubt that a major role on The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has the potential to give him his first big break.

Since The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina premieres in 2018, the rest of the show's cast should be settled on fairly quickly in order for the series to be finished on time. Considering the series' fundamental, scary nature, it's possible that Netflix will premiere the upcoming spinoff sometime around the Halloween season.
