The newest release to arrive on Netflix is the streaming service's most expensive film ever, Red Notice. The massive budget makes sense given there are major action set pieces, a globetrotting adventure, and on top of it all, a cast list topped with some of the biggest names in Hollywood.

Actors like Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, and Gal Gadot are massive stars known for playing some of the most prominent characters on the big screen. Some of their past roles saw them work together or take part in films that line up with Red Notice. Whether it's live-action or lending their voices to a role, they've all had notable careers.

Rafael Petardi - Carmen Sandiego (2019-2021)

Rafael Petardi doesn't have the biggest role in Red Notice and he's certainly not near the top of the cast in terms of billing. That being said, he does appear a handful of times as Security Chief Ricci.

Petardi might not have appeared in massive roles throughout his career but there are plenty of films and TV parts as a character actor. Among those are voice acting bits, including nine episodes of the Carmen Sandiego animated series as both Chase Devineaux and a boat captain.

Vincenzo Amato - The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story (2018)

In a lot of ways, Vincenzo Amato is another character actor with plenty of appearances in smaller roles over the past several decades. He also has a pretty unmemorable part in Red Notice, showing up for a few minutes as Director Gallo.

With a career spanning so long, Amato likely looks familiar to most viewers. One of the bigger shows that he was featured in recently came in 2018 in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. It was just a part as a Versace spokesperson but it mattered.

Ivan Mbakop - Reminiscence (2021)

Like some of the other actors in this cast, Ivan Mbakop isn't that well-known right now but that is likely to change if he continues to pop up in more movies over the years. His role as Tambwe isn't a big one in Red Notice but it is one that will get a lot of eyes on him.

Mbakop began appearing in movies over the past decade or so and the majority of them were in smaller independent films. A big project that he took part in was Reminiscence, a film about a man using a machine to see into memories to try and find his past romance. Mbakop's role was small though, playing a sunburnt man.

Ritu Arya - The Umbrella Academy (2019-Present)

Other than the main three actors and the person who plays an antagonist, Ritu Arya has the biggest role. She portrays Urvashi Das, the agent working with Dwayne Johnson's character at the start of the film. She is the prototypical good person in a sea of those with questionable morals.

Das is the kind of character needed as she chases the two main characters who chase the villain. Ritu Arya is likely recognizable to Netflix subscribers as she played Lila Pitts in season 2 of The Umbrella Academy, who ended up as one of the show's biggest villains.

Chris Diamantopoulos - Silicon Valley (2014-2019)

Chris Diamantopoulos plays one of the most important characters in the story as Sotto Voce. According to Johnson's character, he has a Napoleon complex as an angry short man who has a strong desire to assert his dominance whenever he can. He holds one of the eggs that everyone is hunting for.

The biggest roles for Diamantopoulos are likely the recurring ones he has as the voice of Mickey Mouse and Green Arrow. However, you can find the performer appearing in just over a dozen episodes of HBO's Silicon Valley as Russ Hanneman, an arrogant and extravagant billionaire.

Ryan Reynolds - 6 Underground (2019)

Going through the filmographies of the three main cast members would take forever as all are incredibly recognizable. So, it's worth looking for films with them that play into some of what is seen in Red Notice. In it, Ryan Reynolds plays Nolan Booth, the second-best art thief in the world, who partners up with an FBI profiler on the adventure.

Reynolds played the lead character in 6 Underground, which is pretty different in a lot of ways but does share some similarities. The film centers on a team of vigilantes and it sees Reynolds, who plays the lead, work alongside others as he does in Red Notice. It also featured big-budget action sequences as well.

Dwayne Johnson - The Rundown (2003)

Dwayne Johnson is the kind of guy who, despite his acting talents, is always going to just feel like The Rock in any movie he takes on. He's larger than life in that way. That's why his character in this movie, FBI profiler John Hartley, doesn't feel all that different from some of his others.

That being said, it's interesting to look way back into one of his earliest films to find a similar premise. The Rundown sees Johnson as a bounty hunter who works alongside a brash, talkative partner (Sean William Scott) through the jungle. Red Notice also has a fun scene where Johnson and Reynolds trek through the jungle.

Gal Gadot - Keeping Up With The Joneses (2016)

Everyone knows Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman these days. She has played the iconic DC superhero in four (five if you count Zack Snyder's Justice League as its own entity) movies to this point. In this Netflix blockbuster, Gadot plays Sarah Black, better known as The Bishop, the world's greatest art thief.

As Wonder Woman, Gadot is the ultimate symbol of good but in Red Notice, she's the antagonist. A fun similar part for her was in Keeping Up with the Joneses, where she plays Natalie Jones. Though she's not a villain there, she is a spy known for keeping secrets and having a flair for the dramatic, much like the Bishop.

Dwayne Johnson & Ryan Reynolds - Hobbs & Shaw (2019)

As noted, this movie is far from the first time that these actors have worked together. In fact, before Reynolds and Johnson teamed up at the heart of this story, they shared the screen twice. Once wasn't memorable as Johnson voiced a bank robber in Free Guy, which Reynolds was the star of.

Their biggest on-screen connection came in Hobbs & Shaw. The Fast & Furious franchise spin-off saw Johnson as one of the lead characters (Hobbs) but Reynolds made a surprise (uncredited) cameo appearance as Victor Locke and their connection wasn't too far off from what is seen in Red Notice.

Dwayne Johnson's extensive career has also seen him share the big screen with Gal Gadot in the past. The first time came in Fast Five which marked Johnson's debut as Luke Hobbs, the DSS agent tasked with investigating Dominic Toretto's crew as they go after a corrupt businessman.

Meanwhile, Gadot played Gisele Yashar, a former Mossad agent on Dom's team. For most of the movie, the two are at odds, which is in line with Red Notice, though they end up in something of an alliance. They also shared the screen in Fast & Furious 6.
