Drag artists are taking over television with the newest Netflix reality show A Queen is Born featuring Gloria Groove and Alexia Twister. Now that RuPaul's Drag Race is approaching its 13th regular season and has several spinoffs underway, the world of drag continues to blossom with the latest reality TV show from Brazil, starring two South American drag celebrities.

On A Queen is Born, hosts Gloria Groove and Alexia Twister make over different drag artists to help them reach their full potential. Gloria and Alexia are referred to as Godmothers, as they help their drag godchildren become the best drag artists they can be. With their drag experiences and senses of humor, Alexia and Gloria uplift their subjects and help them find the fierceness inside of them. Several other shows have popped up with similar formats, such as HBO's We're Here and VH1's RuPaul's Secret Celebrity Drag Race. All of those shows are about drag performers changing people's minds, giving queer artists a unique experience, and reshaping the hearts and minds of those around them. So what makes A Queen is Born different from these other shows? New and exciting queens who have never been seen on American TV! The Godmothers Gloria Groove and Alexia Twister are extremely popular online and have received a lot of praise for how natural they are as television hosts.

According to CosmopolitanAlexia Twister is an actor, dancer, and drag queen. She does not have as many hyphens or Instagram followers as her co-host Gloria Groove, but she has had a ton of success in Brazil and has gained a lot of followers after the release of A Queen Is Born on Netflix. Alexia Twister had around 50,000 followers before the show premiered, but in the short few days since A Queen is Born aired internationally, Alexia has already gained over 5,000 new followers on her Instagram account. Alexia Twister is also known for recreating Lady Gaga's VMA performance of "Applause" (seen below), which gained international attention from media outlets.

In fact, even Lady Gaga herself praised Alexia on Twitter. In the tweet, Gaga said: "That routine is not easy! Alexia Twister was so impressive when she made it out for the seashell girls cue I nearly fell over screaming." It is certainly no small feat to be praised by the supreme leader of Chromatica.

Twister and Groove are so charming and lovable on Netflix's A Queen is Born that we predict this show will get some solid attention from drag fans around the world. This show is definitely a huge platform for these two drag artists.
