Netflix has announced five new series to be filmed in the UK throughout 2022. The streaming service has found massive success with its original content through the years. British media has found a worldwide audience through Netflix with series such as The Crown, season 5 of which premieres next year, and Sex Education.

Now, according to Deadline, Netflix has ordered five new scripted series out of the UK. On the list is an adaptation of the 2009 novel One Day written by David Nicholls. The novel has previously received a 2011 film adaptation starring Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess. The film follows Emma Morley (Hathaway) and Dexter Mayhew (Sturgess) as they meet on the same day over the course of twenty years. The romance is being adapted into a series by Drama Republic Production, Universal International Studios, and Focus Features.

The Fuck It Bucket, written by Ripley Parker, is about a schoolgirl who gets released from the hospital after battling anorexia nervosa. The last series announced by Netflix is Kaos, a contemporary retelling of Greek myths from End of the F***ing World creator Charlie Covell.
