This weekend, Netflix is welcoming a sports drama movie, a disturbing documentary series, a supernatural drama TV series, and the final season of an acclaimed crime TV series. Although Netflix has been in the middle of controversy for a while now, beginning with a massive loss of subscribers, followed by rumors about changes in its subscription plans and then the controversial content of some of its comedy specials, the streaming giant continues to treat its subscribers to a variety of content. Netflix’s release plans haven’t changed, and the platform keeps adding new licensed and original content every week, for all ages and tastes.

Last weekend, Netflix added a bunch of licensed content, most notably the action-drama movie León: The Professional, three movies from the Mission: Impossible franchise (Mission: Impossible, Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol, Mission: Impossible II), the drama Steel Magnolias, Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man, Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, and James Cameron’s Titanic, along with the action drama movie Interceptor, the TV series Surviving Summer, and the French TV series The Perfect Mother. This weekend, Netflix will see less licensed content, with the addition of the drama movie Closet Monster, seasons 27 and 28 of Top Gear, and Adam McKay’s black comedy Vice.
